2017 Annual Appeal
Dear Friend of Brookline,
My name is Brewster and I was the runt of my litter. At 14 weeks, I was half the size of my littermates. I was born with a birth defect called a liver shunt which means I wasn’t using my liver at all and toxins weren’t being filtered from my blood. My breeder surrendered me to Brookline because he couldn’t afford the special surgery I needed. Thank goodness the rescue took great care of me and saved my life. Without it, I couldn’t have made it past two years old.
Brewster’s medical costs totaled more than $7,000. Contributions from you made it possible for Brookline to help him and many other Labs this year. Another example is Flash, who needed a specialized surgery in New York City for urinary incontinence. Thanks to you, we have not had to turn away these dogs and for some of them, we’re their last hope. Your gift is extremely important because you’re helping our volunteers touch the lives of dogs in poor living conditions or who need medical or behavioral interventions.
In recognition of Brookline’s 20th Anniversary, we have set a 2017 Annual Appeal fundraising goal of $20,000. We know how much you love Labs and your gift can save lives. With your support, Brookline can continue its mission of rescuing Labs and matching them to safe and loving forever homes. There’s no greater reward than knowing you’ve made a difference in the life of an animal in need. Please send your gift today and you can make an immediate impact. You can donate via PayPal by clicking here. Please select either the 2017 Annual Appeal General Fund button or the 2017 Annual Appeal Bright Horizons Fund button for special needs dogs. To mail your donation, please print the .pdf and complete the included form. Checks are payable to ‘BLRR’ and don’t forget to ask your employer if they participate in donation-matching programs.
