Thank you to all the people interested in adopting a lab from our Rescue. At this time, we have many
approved applicants waiting to adopt our labs as they become available. Because of this interest in our
labs and our rescue, we are doing our best to rescue as many labs that we can (if we had more foster
homes, we'd be able to help even more labs! hint, hint). If you apply to adopt from our Rescue, please
be prepared to wait for the right lab for your family.

At Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue we maintain a list of available Labs and Lab mixes. This list is
updated on a regular basis and is made up of dogs being given up by their owners (but still living with the
owners) and dogs that are in foster care with one of our volunteers. BLRR does not have a shelter or
kennel facility. The dogs we list for adoption are located throughout our
coverage area. We do our best to
evaluate each dog to give potential adopters detailed and accurate information regarding each dog’s
history, personality, and obedience level.

All of the dogs available for adoption through Brookline are up-to-date on their shots and heartworm tested.
We try to have dogs spayed/neutered, if they are not already, however this is not always possible.

If you are interested in one of our
available dogs, or if you would like to be on our waiting list until the right
dog comes along, you must first be sure that you are in our
coverage area. Then fill out and submit an
adoption application. You can either fill out our ****
online application or print and mail an application form.
Our volunteers conduct home visits for each of our applicants - once before approving an application and
again when closing an adoption. Due to our volunteer's limited ability to travel, we can only work with
homes within our coverage area.

If you are outside our
coverage area, please see our Links page for ways to find a Lab rescue in your area.
Once you have determined that you are in our
coverage area, please continue reading for more information:
