Happy Monday forever family! My foster mom says she has a case of the mondays… I don’t know what that means but I feel great! Its another wonderful day for me. I am always so happy to see FM in the morning. I also get to start the day playing with Finley adn Chip. I first get to go on a walk with Finley so we can take care of our business. then FM takes Chip out for his walk. I get to eat my breakfast. Then while FM is getting ready for work all the puppers get to play or take a quick nap. When FM leaves for work FD comes down and hangs with us. He feeds the other dogs and we all get walked again. When FD leaves we are all crated for a few hours.
FD gets home before FM so he lets us out and then it is PLAY TIME!!!! FInley and I love to play together. We love chasing tennis balls, wrestling and tugging. SOmetimes Chip joins in but mostly he just chills on the couch. My favorite thing is fetching. It is so much fun. FInely and I race after the ball, and if he gets it he tries to play keep away from me. But if I get it, I am bringing it right back to you so we can keep playing. FM says that it is good that Finley and I play so much because we can entertain each other. FM says that I have potential to be a demanding dog. For example, if I wasn’t so busy with Finley all the tiem I would want to play fetch ALL the time. Fm has heard me bark at her because I want to play and she didn’t. Well that was not my brightest move. Instead of throwing the ball…. she put it away. Not Cool FM not cool at all. She said that just because I wanted to play doesn’t mean it is play time. Well boo. But I guess what she means is that my forever family has to understand that they can’t give in to me or I will demand fetch all the time. When I finally understsand that fetch time is over I either annoy Finley or go chew on a dog toy.
Once it is evening and I have been fed and walked again I like to snuggle on the couch with you. Normally FM will invite me up and will curl up next to you. It is a great way to end the day.. Fm just petting me and rubbing my tummy. Ahh life is good.
One thing that you should know about me is that I crated at night and when my FPs are gone for long periods of time ( more than 2 -3 hrs ). I probably do not need to be crated. But since the other dogs are we all are. I go into my crate with no problems. In fact Finley and I try to both go in the same crate. FM always laughs and then seperates us. The crate is not big enough for the both of us! When I am left out free roam you will either find me on the couch or laying by the front door. FM knows this because most of the time when she comes home the door doesn’t open all the way because I am in the way. I have never gotten into the trash or jumped on the counters. I really do have great house manners.
Well Fm says she needs to do some work so more later.

Well hello future forever family! I thought you would like to know how I am doing. I bet you can guess… yup I am doing great! Life is pretty darn good.
I had a really great day on Sat. FM took me to this place called Cutters Mill and we sat outside for a few hours. It was pretty cool becasue I met a lot of new friends. Dogs of all sizes too. And I got to meet Laddie, Daisy and Stitch, they are fellow Brookline fosters. I was so good the entire time. Enjoy the pictures from my big day!
FM is really excited because my allergy test finally came in the mail. It was pretty simple. All I had to do was chew on a rope for a few mins. And then FM is going to mail it in and she should get results in a week or two that say what I am allergic to. Pretty cool huh! I know she is anxious to see what I am allergic to. In the meantime I am not itching at all. maybe its that yummy food that she is giving me that makes me feel so good.
Well I need a nap.

Has it really been that long since I updated you guys on how I am doing? Well things haven’t changed that much. I am still being an awesome dog. In fact I am so good that my foster parents have left me out of the crate for a few hours here and there. Of coarse I am so good. I just snuggle on the couch.
My fur has really been growing in. I am so spoiled. I get special baths every three days. I love bath time cause FM really massages the shampoo on me. Oh adn getting toweled off… best ever! And everynight she rubs coconut oil all over me to help my skin stay so nice. I always smell so good. But sometimes she puts this ridiculous shirt on me so the other dogs don’t lick off all the coconut oil. Oh the things I put up with 
Some new things that have happened to me. One is that I got my nails done. She used a dremmel tool and I was really good. I didn’t mind it all. Also I got to go see this thing called a pool. We went over to Aunt Amys house and to everyone’s surprise I jumped right in and started swimming. So I am officially a swimmer. We didn’t stay too long because FM was worried about the sun on my skin.

Good Morning Everyone! I thought I would just let everyone know how amazing I am doing in foster care. I am having a blast. Every morning I wake up and get to eat yummy food and go on a walk. And then for most of the day it is play time and nap time! I play so well with Finley and Chip. I love to wrestle with them and play fetch with them. We all get along so well.
Foster mom says that I am so good she almosts forgets that I am there. Well I don’t see how she can forget about me. I mean I do blend into the couch and all, but how can she forget about me. Oh I guess because I am not really demanding and I am really quiet. She says that I do have potential to be a demanding dog, only cause I love playing fetch so much. But we have designated play times. And then when those are over the balls go away and we all settle.
I have to get these special baths to help my skin and foster mom thought it was going to be interesting to bathe me. Boy was she surprised! I was so good. I just stood there and let her massage me. I didn’t run or do anything bad. And then when we were done she gave me another massage with a towel. I could get used to that.
I am doing much better when I go into my crate at night. I don’t bark anymore. I do get a special treat for going in there. Yesterday my foster parents had to leave for a bit and they left me and Chip out on the first floor. We were so good. So maybe soon I will earn enough trust to have free roam more often!

Hello Brookline Fans,
I am Kaden, a 3-4 yr old neutered chocolate lab. You can tell my my smile that I am a really happy dog! But my life wasn’t always so happy. Two weeks ago I wandered onto someones property, I like to call her my angel. SHe saw how sad I looked and had to help me. I barely had any fur and it was really hot out. I was hungry and thirsty. This angel took me to the vet and got me checked out. The vet thinks maybe I was infected from fleas or allergies. He put me on some medicines to make me feel better. And in just two weeks I feel a million times better. My angel knew she wasn’t able to keep, although she wished she could, so she contacted Brookline to see if they could help. And that is how my new life started!
I came into foster care two nights ago. I was such a good boy while we were driving. I curled up in the back and fell asleep. We stopped at the vet and I got some vaccines. The vet said that I need to gain 15-20 lbs! I guess that means I get to eat lots of yummy food and treats. While we were waiting my foster mom learned that I know some basic commands. I can sit like a pro, and am easily lured into a down with a treat. I will pretty much do anything for a treat. Of coarse I take the treat very nicely. No need to bite the hand that feeds me.
Once we actually got to my new “home”, I got to meet my two new furbrothers. I have a 5 yr old black lab mix and a 5 month old yellow lab as my new playmates. Foster mom kept joking that she know has one of each color! I really like my new friends. We all play really well together. I didn’t grumble at all and neither did they. I think my favorite part of this home is that there are so many toys to choose from. Of coarse I had to sniff every one to determine which was the best. Thankfully Chip and Finley don’t mind sharing their toys. My all time favorite toys are ones that I can retrieve. I LOVE fetch.
My first night was pretty scary. I had to go in a crate and I wasn’t too happy about that. I mean I just got here and are they forgetting about me already? I decided the best thing I could do was bark to make sure they remembered me. I eventually fell asleep and to my great surprise they hadn’t forgotten about me at all. In the morning I woke up and there they were! I got to have some breakfast and then more play time!
I have been pretty much been alternating between playing and sleeping. I like going outside for my walks and taking care of my business. I am housetrained after all. Well I think it is about time for a nap for me. Please continue to check in with me and see how well I am progressing!
