Hi Brookline Friends!
Meet Ruby! She’s a 7 year old beautiful chocolate lab who was surrendered by her previous family because she really likes to explore- so much that she kept escaping from the house because she lived with 4 young children who left the door open! The family loved her, and she was great with kids, but knew it wasn’t a great situation for the kids and dog!
Ruby is now living with her foster parents, Jim and Karen, 6 yr old human foster brother, and two resident pups! Life is really great so far for Ruby! She is loving her foster family playing fetch and taking her on walks. She also loves to cuddle up and snuggle, and really loves her humans. She is great with kids! She also has done well with visitors to the house. She likes other dogs too, but really craves her humans attention so may thrive as an only dog.
Ruby’s Foster Parents say she sometimes is a little strong on the leash, but they are working with her (with the help of a harness!) and they are positive this girl will be successfully trained in no time! She’s got a deep alert bark when someone arrives, but is all bark! She doesn’t like the vacuum or having her paws touched if she’s not comfortable with a person, but then again who does?!
Ruby is spayed, house trained, up to date on vaccines, and can have free roam of the house! She has great house manners- a rare gem of a lab! Her foster parents say they could write pages about how wonderful she is!
Stay tuned to see if this sweet, gentle, loving, and extremely affectionate girl could fit into your family as her furever home!
