I’m Sheba, a 10 year old female chocolate lab! My family had to give me up due to medical issues, but they raved about me! They said I’m housebroken, great with other dogs, good with children, and that I was mostly an indoor pup. I also am up to date on my shots (those pesky things!) and heartworm negative. They said I was a “happy go lucky girl with a heart of gold”- geez, I’m blushing!
Since Brookline took me on, I’ve been living with my foster parents and my foster fur brother. FM says I’ve been with them a little over a week and they sweetly call me “Little Girl”. I’ve pretty much made myself at home and love my people. I was a little unsure about the resident male pup at first, because you know, I wanted to be the queen, but now we are getting along just fine! I pretty much just ignore him once we sniff each other now! My foster mom is really happy with us for learning to get along well! And I’m happy because I don’t have to be separated from them EVER by a gate! I really do love people, and I just want to be near them allllll the time! I want to find a family who will throw balls to me, take me for walks, and give me plenty of love! ‘I get excited when I see the leash and am good on walks. I also love laying in the sunroom on the sofa and taking naps. I know some tricks like sit, paw, wait or stay! If you tell me to go lay down, I will. I’m gentle with my humans when taking treats or foot.
If you have cats, I may not be a good match. I chased FM’s cat and I am not sure she was super excited about that- so maybe I should just keep some distance.
I am excited to find my forever home where I can keep you company, let you pet me and love me, and we can take leisurely walks together!
Thanks for reading about me! Stay tuned for more updates!
