Milo #7 Chocolate Labrador Retriever Male 3.5 Years Old ID#3536
Meet Milo! Milo is a handsome 80 lb purebred chocolate Labrador who was surrendered to Brookline by his owner by no fault of his own. His owner loved him but due to an unstable home situation, he was not getting the loving attention and exercise that this young, energetic boy needed. Please read Milo’s blog to learn more about him while in foster care.

One week with Milo.
What a great boy he is! He has improved so much in one week. He is sleeping in his bed, walking better on leash. He is easy and sweet and only wants to please you.
All he wants is a best friend.

Day 5 with Milo and he is doing great. He is really learning how to be a dog.
He has been alone for a few days and I can see on my camera, he will walk around for a few minutes and then he goes into the crate. No barking, no messes in the house, so proud of him!!
He loves to be with me but he can be alone well too. We are still working on leash training. He is a strong boy so he does pull. The first 5-10 mins he really excited but after that he can walk nicely for quite a bit.
He has been an awesome first foster for me.

Picked up Milo from Mike yesterday. He was a great passenger in the car! He is smart and sweet and was very respectful of the resident cat.
We walked a lot since he has a lot of pent up energy but not pushy at all. He doesn’t seem to know what to do with other dogs but he likes them. He just maybe has too much energy for them since they avoid him. I think he would be fine with them once he settled down. He knows commands and listens really well. Sit. Stay. Wait. Drop it.
Left him for a short time alone for the first time and he was fine. He is not crate trained but he goes in the crate with the door opened after a walk.
Loves to play ball and really settles down after a long walk. He is just the sweetest big goofball 💙

Milo got his rescue ride today and will be staying overnight with me until he moves to his foster home tomorrow.
He already got cat tested…
And met my resident dog… Milo and Shelby got along fine after a brief intro.
And, we had a nice walk!
Stay tuned for more updates after he settles into his new foster home.
