Waynette has been her little over a week and she is now ready to find her forever home!
Waynette is a love bug and likes to hang out with her people.
She is great at entertaining herself with toys and chews before settling in for a nap when her people are busy. Waynette is looking for someone who is home most of the time to continue to work on her socialization and potty training.
She walks great on leash and really loves meeting new people and dogs on our trips out to the vet, pet stores, and home depot. She rides wonderfully in the car too so will make a great road trip buddy. Waynette loves to cuddle on the couch and get belly rubs. She also likes to play fetch with stuffies and balls with her people and playing chase, tug and wrestling with other dogs.
Waynette’s siblings have moved into their forever homes and now this sweet girl is also ready to find a home of her own!

Waynette has had a few days to settle in to her new foster home. We been calling her “Winnie” for short. Waynette is a little more reserved and cautious out in the world than her brother Buford but still is a happy, playful little pup who loves to meet new people. My daughter came in from Pittsburgh and Waynette was super happy to get snuggles with her as well as get pets from Grandma Sue.
She enjoys playing chase when they have balls and sticks with her brother, Buford.
She will even play with big foster brother, Sammy though I think Buford tries to convince her just to play with him.
Waynette likes to hang out in the shade and is not a fan of the baby pool.
Buford keeps trying real hard to convince her to come in and cool off but hasn’t had any luck yet.
Buford was amazing when it came to only going to the bathroom outside since he arrived and I was hoping Waynette would be the same but Waynette is still working on her potty training and has periodic accidents in the house. It has only been a couple of times since she arrived and now she is starting to really understand that a treat is coming when she does her business outside. Once she is done, she looks right up at me for her treat or runs over to me if we have some distance apart. She is a smart girl and has learned to sit nicely for her treats so I’m sure she’ll understand very soon that pottying is only done outside. Since they are fully vaccinated now, we went for a walk together in the local park and both did great on leash and followed right along behind Sammy.
Waynette and Buford are sharing an XL crate when I go out and do really well in there together. No complaining at all. When they are alone in there, that’s a different story…LOL Like her brother Buford, she is wonderful on supervised free roam and will entertain her self with squeaky toys, chew, and balls until nap time comes around. She doesn’t mind sharing with her brother either.
Waynette is also not picky when it comes to sleeping spots.
Waynette is a sweet little girl who loves attention and getting loved on and will make a wonderful daily companion for one lucky family!

Waynette had her rescue ride today after arriving on transport from AR. She rode well in the car for the hour ride home.
When we arrived she was reunited with her brother Buford. It took them a few sniffs to remember each other and then Buford showed her around her new yard.
After doing her business, we came inside for her bath. She’s not a big fan of the water like her brother, Buford but was easy to bathe inside.
Waynette and Buford spent some time running around my office having a ball playing with each other!
Waynette is now settling in for a nap after her exhausting 24hrs of changes!
Stay tuned for more updates as we learn more about this pretty little girl!
