Remi and Ruger Chocolate Labrador Retrievers Female and Male, 2.5 Years Old
July 31, 2018
Meet Remi and Ruger, a bonded pair of chocolate labs that are ~2.5 years old (female Remi is two months older than Ruger who will be three on Christmas Day). These are very well cared for and loved dogs whose owner died rather suddenly of breast cancer, and they were her world. Her friends took the dogs in when she got sick and promised her that they would find them an awesome home where they would be loved AND get to stay together. They tried at first to place them on their own but ultimately they decided to work with Brookline because they felt like we could do a better job and more thoroughly vet families and follow up on the dogs. So we need to find them an awesome family. And we will!
Remi and Ruger are handsome, well adjusted, have great temperaments, and are a great size in my book at about 60 pounds, and could probably do well in a variety of homes, but I know these caretakers will want to make a pick that their friend would be very happy with.
Ruger is the comedian who loves to get his people’s attention and playing with Remi. Remi is quieter and sweeter but is very fetch driven outside. So a great way to exercise is to the throw the ball: Remi will chase the ball and Ruger all chase Remi! Both dogs loves to go for walks and were trained to walk off leash
These dogs are great with other dogs and were well socialized with their owner. Kids love them. They aren’t that used to cats however.
