Badger is doing exceptionally well. He has been very friendly with the staff at BCK, and the other dogs that I’ve introduced him to. He walks well on leash even though he was a farm dog with no leash experience. Badger recently went on a field trip with fellow foster, Olive and they had a great time on the trail sniffing and exploring. He is not much of a barker both in his run or outside in the yard. Although he loves to explore, he also loves being with people and will often follow me around when we are out in the yard. He enjoys playing with other dogs, Badger and fellow foster, Olive play well together.
He’s very treat motivated and learned sit quickly. We have also been working on down, but he still needs a lure for it. He’s getting very good at getting into the car and is very quiet and well behaved for the ride.
Badger has his second vaccine appointment yesterday and was a superstar! He is scheduled for his neuter in about a week so he will be on some exercise restrictions while he heals.
We are still trying to work on housebreaking and would love to find him a foster home, so he can learn his house manners before being adopted. He does a good job of keeping his kennel clean, but does have the tendency to periodically “mark” indoors still. If you are interested in fostering this handsome fellow and to help him find a forever home, please reach out to info@brooklinelabrescue.org

Badger has been meeting new friends at Kamp. He was very happy to meet Jilly, and after giving her lots of sniffs, wandered off to sniff the yard. Badger also got to play with Bear. After the initial sniffs hello, the boys went off to explore and then had some chase time.
Badger is doing really well. He’s friendly with people and dogs. We haven’t tried cats yet. He is still not too sure about going for car rides but we’ll take him to some fun places and help him get over that.
He jumped right in the puppy pool!

Badger is settling in nicely at Kamp! He was a little bit shy on his first day, but has quickly come around to being very friendly with everyone He had to go to the vet yesterday to get some shots and bloodwork. His bloodwork came back good so he can be scheduled for a neuter. He was a bit scared at first and reluctant to get in the car. He was excellent at the vet office, and didn’t even mind the other dogs in the waiting room.
He’s experiencing lots of new things, and new smells, but is handling it like a pro! He is a really nice guy, and so handsome too!
