Bella Black Labrador Retriever Female, 1 Year Old

July 31, 2018

Bella has really perked up and is healing very well since her spay. I say she she has “perked up” because she has shown more signs of energy! … She is now fond of jumping up and greeting you with a really affectionate welcome, which has now led us to teaching her “down!”. We are working on it, but we know she is still a puppy that needs some guidance. A daily workout is required for her to settle at night. She is fine being crated and with other dogs. She likes to initiate play. She came into our foster care weighing 55 lbs and at the time of her spay, weighed 60 lbs. Our best guess she may eventually fill out to about 70-75 pounds. She a real sweetheart with so much affection. I believe she will be ready for adoption and posted in the week to come.

Bella had her spay yesterday, and as you can see, not the happiest of faces, and resting. All went well. Today she was more herself with her energy up, but no running or pool for her today. 🙁
She is a real doll. Very smart and eager to please. I can also say with confidence she is housebroken. I believe she’s going to be ready for placement after she is healed.

black Labrador retriever sleepingHello All. Bella has really settled in nicely with us and the pack. She has started to initiate play with my other 3 Labs. They run and chase each other all day. From the pic, she has gotten her exercise in today. She really is very sweet. No accidents in the house, easily goes into the crate at night and rarely (if ever) barks. Taught her “paw”, and still working on “sit”. She is not a counter surfer and doesn’t jump. She loves all people that she encounters…and other canines. Bella is scheduled for her spay surgery this Wednesday. We are hoping for a speedy recovery!

black labrador retriever laying down legs crossedWe took Bella into foster care Sunday night. She is between 8 months – 1 year and weighs approximately 55 lbs. Since arriving, she has been such a well behaved pup. She is Gorgeous. We have crated her with no problem the last two nights as we slept on the coach with her. She rarely barks and seems to be housebroken, but a little more time will tell. Bella has also been in the pool the last two days doing laps! When she jumped in the first time, we dove in  after her to show her how to get out…she has learned quickly! She is UTD on all her shots, and will need a spay. Bella is also completely fine with my other three resident Labs. Enjoy her pictures and video. I am sure she will be in high demand when she is available.
