Bentley:

Introducing Bentley. He is a super sweet 2-year-old boy that has been in foster care with Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue for just under a week. www.brooklinelabrescue.org He is very affectionate, with a great personality and perpetual motion tail. And loves to give hugs, and flop on his back for belly rubs. Please adopt me!!
He was sad to have to leave his old family (and they were just as sad to see him go). Even though the first thing we did was take him to the vet to be neutered (sorry buddy!), he came right into our house and became our best friend.
Bentley absolutely loves playing with his toys, especially his tug rope and any sort of ball. And squeaky toys really make him happy! He will keep playing as long as you will (with subtle hints like dropping a tennis ball in your lap.)
Bentley has been very well behaved in the house. He is crate trained, but does fine with free roam during the day and at night. He has excellent house manners, and has not gotten into anything he wasn’t supposed to. He also sleeps through the night. In his former home, he lived with 2 dogs and 2 young children with no problems. Once he is fully recovered we will be letting him socialize with some other dogs.
Bentley does get excited to take a walk so pulls a bit at times, but is responsive to corrections. He will need some more work on leash skills, but seems very trainable. He also liked to go hiking, and spend time at the beach (and he swims just fine in the pool).
Bentley is still on restricted activity following his recent procedure (and not at all happy about it!), so not yet available to be adopted, but check back in for updates. He will make a wonderful addition to an active family that is willing to give him lots of attention and exercise
