Bingo #2 Yellow Labrador Retriever Female 2 Years Old ID #3282

March 2, 2025

FM said now that it’s March, I’m going to have the luck of the Irish and find my furever home. Here are some of the things I am looking for.Yellow Labrador Retriever

I would love to have a home where her people are home more often than not. My foster family all have varying schedules, so I’m usually not home for more than 4 hours without someone being there. I do have free roam of the first floor with a gate on the stairs, and I have been completely reliable in our home. I have never chewed or destroyed anything while FM and FD have been gone, and I haven’t had an accident since my first week here.

I would love a yard with a fence. I love to be outside chasing balls, sticks, squirrels, and birds. FM says it helps me to burn off some of my puppy energy.

I really like playing with some of our neighbor’s dogs, so I think a home with a confident resident dog who likes to play would be an ideal companion for me, but if I’m the only dog in the house, that’s okay too.

I currently live with 2 cats. I am very curious and want to play with them, so a home with cats would not be an issue.

I am also very curious about the neighborhood kids, and I am always very friendly with them when they come over to see me. I can get so excited and my cute little butt wiggles out of control, but because I’m a girl, with long legs, I think a home with kids over 5 years would be better, so I don’t knock them over.

I LOVE to walk. When I first came to my foster family, I had no idea how to walk on a leash. FM says I have made so much progress over the last 3 weeks. Me and FM go for 2-3 walks a day for at least 2-3 miles each time. I love to sniff and explore, so if you are looking for a walking buddy, I could be your new best friend.

Finally, I am looking for someone who is patient and willing to continue to work with me on my manners and training. I am a very smart and sweet girl who loves to be with people. FM and FD say that my separation anxiety is getting so much better, and I have gained trust and become more comfortable.

FM tells me all the time that I am so sweet and affectionate and I am a Velcro girl. I love to cuddle on the couch or lay at your feet if you are sitting at the table or your desk. Could I be the one you have been looking for?

Hi everybody!

It’s me Bingo, checking in. I’ve been here at my foster home for 2 weeks and I wanted to let you know what I’ve been up to.

Well first I wanted to show you how FM dressed me up for the Super Bowl. What do you think?

Yellow Labrador Retriever

She said I was such a good girl and didn’t try to eat any of the snacks she had on the table. I made sure to bark every time she yelled “GO BIRDS” and even though I don’t like loud noises, I was okay with all of the fireworks at the end of the game.

A few nights after the big game, we got a couple of inches of snow. I had so much fun, I didn’t want to come into the house at all. We went for lots of walks but my favorite was when FD and I played in the backyard with the basketball.

Check me out with Gladys the cat.

She lets me sniff her but if I get too close or she’s had enough of me, she lets me know and I leave her alone. There is another cat, Margie, but FM says she is afraid of everything so she runs away from me whenever she sees me. Of course, I think she wants to play so I chase her but I never catch her.

I love playing with my puzzles

And tug of war with my rope.

Well, that’s it for now. It’s time for my afternoon nap.Yellow Labrador Retriever

Meet Bingo, a beautiful, sweet, and very friendly almost 2-year-old yellow female Labrador Retriever with the softest and shiniest coat who is in need of a new place to call home. She is being surrendered because her owners do not feel they are giving her the time she deserves.Yellow Labrador Retriever

Bingo is an absolute love bug. If you look up Velcro dog in the dictionary, you will see a picture of Bingo!!Yellow Labrador Retriever

She can be very needy and wants to be attached to you at all times but has tons of love to give.Yellow Labrador Retriever

When we brought her home last Monday, she investigated the house and the yard and there was a lot of pacing and barking.  She is also very strong and needs work with her leash skills. Her sleeping routine was also a challenge as her previous owner had slept with her on the couch since day one. We attempted the crate that did not go over well and she would not settle until one of us lay on the couch with her to sleep. Fast forward 4 days and we are starting to see a very different side to this sweet girl. Yes, she is still very Velcro and has some separation anxiety but her barking is becoming less frequent (she responds to beans in a can). She is now sleeping in our bedroom and most nights she will sleep from 11 PM until 5:00-6:00 AM. She has settled into a nice routine of waking up, outside to the yard for a potty break and then breakfast.  FD is currently home and off of work but she is still a little too much for him to handle for a walk (hip/knee issue) she has been going on a morning walk with our son followed by playtime outside. We have had much better success using either a front clip harness or a prong collar and a longer leash. This girl LOVES to sniff and explore.

So many good things to sniff!

We are working on inside play with puzzles and activities to keep her occupied and stimulated throughout the day. She is becoming more interested in playing fetch and loves a good round of tug of war and she really enjoys a Kong with peanut butter or searching for treats in her snuffle mat.

When I get home from work at 7:00 PM, we eat dinner (she’s a good eater and will sit until she is released to eat), clean up, and go for another walk (usually about 2 miles), and then more play until time for bed. Bingo has also learned that Gladys the cat is the Queen of this castle and we all just live in it, including her. I won’t say they get along but she respects Gladys’ space and doesn’t get too close. She has seen her claws and doesn’t want to be on the wrong end of them.
