January 7, 2020

Bodie continues to be such a loving boy. We are waiting on mast cell study report to be read by oncologist. He will recommend if chemo is needed or not. Even though he is diabetic and blind, he is the easiest dog to take care of. Everyone loves him!!!!yellow Labrador Retriever

Bodie Loves to Snuggle

Bodie is the sweetest and most gentle loving boy.  He is diabetic and blind but it doesn’t stop him from loving life. He adapts so easily to any situation. We have been monitoring his blood sugar levels to get him on the correct dose. He will come over to you, lay down and put his paw out for the stick to get a drop of blood. He learns so fast and just wants to please.

He responds well to commands such as sit, stay and down. We have 2 steps to get up on our deck to get in the house. I taught him with the word “step” in  2 days. When I say step, he puts his foot out like he is feeling where to step next. Bodie is so smart!
Bodie loves to go for walks and car rides. He walks great on a leash, you just need to help guide him so he doesn’t walk into anything when he’s sniffing around.

Bodie LOVES people, especially kids and other dogs!! His tail never stops wagging when you talk to him and when he hears kids voices his ears perk up and it is almost like he’s smiling. Bodie is staying with a temp foster over the holidays and he has 2 children under the age of 3 to follow around and lick faces!!!!

He is great with other dogs he meets and wants to be everyone’s friend. He has fit in perfectly with my 2 girls the minute he walked into our home.

I can’t say enough great things about this boy!!!!
He is going to be 9 in January. UTD on vacc, HW and Lyme neg.
