Hello all! Just a quick update on our Candy-gram! Candy continues to do great in foster care. She was spayed this week, and is recovering well from surgery. She also has two benign cysts removed from her mammary glands. She has been a little sleepy during recovery, but is tolerating her cone well and soaking up all the extra pets.

The vet said she was an absolute sweetheart while staying with them, which wasn’t a surprise to us! Candy continues to melt the hearts of everyone she meets.

Hello from Glenside!

Candy is starting to adjust to the routine of our life! She now knows what it means when we get the leash out and gets very excited to go for a walk! yellow labrador retriever

Candy had her first vet appointment. The vet loves her and she was so well behaved for all of her shots!

Candy loves hanging on the couch and getting pets from her people. She is improving in giving people personal space, too!

Candy has met lots of new friends, including her new friend Gilly—they got along great, and Gilly let Candy share her bed. yellow labrador retriever

Candy is getting cozy and settling in to her new life here in Glenside!

She is still the sweetest girl, and loves getting pet and sitting next to us on the couch.

She is learning to sit, and sat on command just before dinner today!

Candy still has not had any accidents in the house since she got here!

She loves to be in her crate, and is able to stay in there quietly overnight.

We picked up this bundle of joy on Saturday morning, and she could not be any sweeter! Candy was born in April, 2018 and lived on a farm in Amish country. Since bringing her home, she has shown that she is an absolute love bug.Labrador Retriever After a bath and her first walk around the neighborhood, Candy snuggled while we watched a documentary on the wives of King Henry VIII.

We have learned that Candy is very good with meeting new people, and she LOVES treats! She is very excited to go on walks, and does not pull too much on the leash. She is good around other dogs in our neighborhood—she walks past them calmly, being much more interested in sniffing the leaves.Labrador Retriever

Next on our list is helping her learn to walk on the hardwood floors—she finds them very slippery!
