Captain Black Labrador Retriever Mix 6-9 Months Old

April 25, 2019

sleepy Labrador Captain following his neuter surgeryCaptain did well with his neuter on Tuesday. He was very sleepy (as the picture shows) and just wanted to be held and comforted for a few days. He has sprung back to his happy energetic puppy-self since then and is a joy to have around. His house training is doing very well and he is trained to go to the back door and ring the bell to alert. He is not able to hold his bladder for more than 5 hours but is making great progress! He loves his daily walks and absolutely adores his foster sister, Katie. Captain will be at the adoption event in Media on Sunday from 2 pm to 4 pm. Meet & Greet Adoptable Labrador retrievers

Meet Captain!!

Captain is one of Brookline’s newest recruits from Acct Philly. He is just a wee one at 30 lbs! He was surrendered to the shelter due to his owner not having enough time for him. He was crated ALOT in his previous home. Captain is a lab mix (probably beagle)  and he is the ripe age of 6-9 mos.  He lived with children of all ages and has done beautifully living with a senior lab as well as playing with other dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. He is being neutered this week and will be all set to go to his forever home shortly after that!
He is a complete wiggle butt and loves to be loved, petted, and to follow his humans and other canine friends.
He adores all squeaky toys and loves to chase tennis balls and race around the fenced-in yard.black labrador retriever toy in mouth
He enjoys walks and pulls slightly but does well with a harness. He takes treats gently and is a complete snuggler. He would fit beautifully into a family with (or without) children and a canine friend or two.black labrador retriever another dog and person on sofa
An active family would be best especially one that would include him on walks, family activities, as well as giving him the active play time that every puppy needs.
