Clyde Black Labrador Retriever Mix 7 Months Old ID #2843

Quick update on Clyde. Since getting here from MS last week Clyde has settled nicely into our family.  He is literally my shadow.  I’m in the kitchen he’s in the kitchen. I’m working in my office, he’s right there with me.

He’s such a kind and loving dog.  He likes to give hugs. 🙂 His walking lead is better and better. He really doesn’t pull, but does get startled if dogs are barking. Though it only takes him a second to settle back down.  Clyde really enjoys playing with our resident dog Lily and she tolerates the puppy in him.black Labrador Retriever Mix  He’s definitely a counter surfer and we’ve been really diligent in watching and correctly him. He’s also a shoe thief, my kids are getting use to putting their shoes out of reach.  He’s had a couple of accidents; therefore, we try to take him out about every 30 mins and then praise him really well. I think it’s working.  All in all, he’s an easy dog with general puppy issues. He’ll fit right into a new forever home.black Labrador Retriever Mix

Yesterday Clyde arrived from MS.  He was so happy to see my husband and was ready to head back to his new foster home.black Labrador Retriever and man

After a much-needed bath he adjusted extremely well to our family. This guy is just a sweet heart.  He loves being around my kids. He follows them everywhere. He even liked playing soccer with my son. We introduced him to our resident dog and they got along fabulously.  Clyde just loves running around our yard. He doesn’t know how to fetch yet. My dog is loving this, because she gets the ball every time.  He’ll catch on soon though.

Clyde hasn’t had any accidents, but we definitely have to keep an eye on him while we’re cooking. We can tell that given the chance he’ll be a counter surfer.  Last night went really well. He went into his crate when it was time for bed and slept thru the night until we came down this morning.  Today we’re going to take him for a long walk and introduce him to some of our fur friends in the neighborhood. We’re really enjoying Clyde.
