Colby is approximately 4 1/2 months now. He is house trained and working on other common commands like sit, walking on leash and no puppy biting.Colby has been a joy to have around. He will put a smile on your face all day. Colby has a pretty set schedule that he has trained me on. He wakes up around 6:30-7:00am. He will eat and play until about 9:00am, then for most of the day he kind of wonders, sleeps and chews on a bone. Around 4:00pm in the afternoon he gets his second wind. He loves to play for a while and will go to bed around 7:00pm.

Colby’s day 3 was spent outside. We basically spent from the time we got up until dinner, outside. Colby enjoyed chasing birds, bugs and sometimes nothing at all.We took Colby for a walk for the first time and it was hilarious. I’m guessing he never had a leash on. He rolled and flipped for about 15 minutes. It reminded me of an alligator. Once we got going he followed us, but by no means is he trained on a leash.Colby has figured out if he bites our resident dogs tail, it will get her to play.

Today is Colby’s second day with us. He has not stopped wagging his tail.We tried the crate last night for bedtime but gave up. He ended up sleeping next to my husband from 7:00 pm-7:00 am without a peep. If you want a snugglier, then Colby might be right for you. We do put him the crate when we leave for a few hours. He barks for a little but then calms down.We are working on house training. He seems to know what to do when we take him out but doesn’t know how to tell us he needs too. I believe he will be easy to train. We have enjoying watching Colby explore, play with balls, and sit for awhile and chew on a bone. He is very good at entertaining himself.I don’t have many pictures to share. To get a puppy to sit still for a picture is more difficult than you think.
Colby is a sweet heart!

Meet Colby. How can you not fall in love with this face? We’ve had Colby less than 24 hours but wanted to introduce this little guy. Fourteen weeks old and adorable. What we learned from this little guy so far is that he likes the couch and hates the crate. He loves to cuddle with you and loves to be pet.
