Colt has been enjoying the last week of summer, especially with the cooler weather.  He enjoyed a nice hike in the woods along the nature trail this week.Chocolate Labrador Retriever  There were so many smells to sniff and places to pee, it was a busy day!  Colt has also been enjoying sunbathing on the grass with his toys.Chocolate Labrador Retriever

Foster mom keeps putting his toys away in his toy box but Colt prefers taking them all out every day!  Even though he makes a mess, it is impossible to be mad at the sweet face!Chocolate Labrador Retriever

Colt has been settling well into his foster home and is comfortable with his new routine.  The first week he would sometime bark at night downstairs when alone but he has learned he is safe and sleeps great until his foster parents come down in the morning.  He helps his foster mom at work during the day and keeps guard for any intruders coming to the house! More of his personality is shining through also as he likes to cuddle with his head next to your lap.  He is not a fan of thunder so he needs someone to comfort him during those scary thunderstorms.  Colt also loves his stuffed animals and will carry around one of his stuffed animals and occasionally toss it in the air to catch.

Chocolate Labrador Retriever Colt was so excited to receive his new foster care package with some new toys and thanks the volunteers who sent it!

He loves going on walks and adventures although he is still working on his leash pulling skills  His foster parents took him to a new brewery and park and he received so much attention.Chocolate Labrador Retriever  People cannot believe he is 10 years old!

Colt had his rescue ride from Gloucester County Animal Shelter and made himself right at home.

After exploring the yard, he was so excited to be rolling in the grass again.

Next his foster parents took him to PetSmart to choose some new toys.

After a busy day it was time for some snuggles on the couch.  Labrador Retriever MixDespite being 10 years old, Colt is very active boy who loves to play and go on walks.  Colt went for a 2 mile hike the next day and had no problem keeping up, he actually wanted to keep going further!

During the week, Colt hung out while his foster family worked from home taking some naps and looking out the window.
