Cooper Chocolate Labrador Retriever Male 4 Years Old

March 9, 2025

Meet Cooper! Cooper is a 4-year-old Charcoal Lab. In some lights, he looks almost black; in other lights, he looks like a silver lab. In all lights, he looks super handsome – a very unique-looking and charming boy. Cooper is looking for a new place to call home because his owner passed away suddenly. Cooper had to move into a kennel, and he can’t wait to get out of there and back into a home.

Cooper is friendly and affectionate but will also go off and do his own thing. He doesn’t require as much exercise as your average 4-year-old Lab. A couple of walks a day, and Cooper is happy. Cooper enjoys being outdoors, so he would be happiest with a home that has a fence so he can spend some time outdoors. In the house, Cooper has a preference for the couch, so if you are looking for a buddy to watch TV with, Cooper is your guy.

Cooper has been living with 4 other dogs and is friendly with all of them. He knows some commands and walks reasonably well on a leash. He will need some more training to be the best dog on a leash that he can be. Cooper is crate-trained and fully housebroken.

It’s important to note that Cooper is not neutered, so he will be adopted with a sterilization contract.

Adopt Your New Best Friend!

PLEASE NOTE: While this Lab may not be available for adoption by the time you complete the adoption process, other great Labs are always finding their way into our Rescue. (Note: Sometimes a foster home falls in love and adopts their foster dog so the dog doesn’t make it to “Available Now”).

If you are interested in adopting this Lab or any other Lab from our Rescue, please visit our Web site, brooklinelabrescue.org, for more information on our adoption process. If you need additional information about the adoption process or whether you are in our coverage area, please send an e-mail to our Rescue at info@brooklinelabrescue.org.

Even if you are not ready to adopt, you can still help us help our Labs!
