Doug, 7 year old chocolate lab.
March 4, 2018
Doug’s owner described him as perfect and so does his foster family! They have nothing but good things to say about him – house trained, loves to run and chase the ball, playful with toys, takes treats nicely, loves getting a bath, loves kids (very tolerant), other dogs and cats ! The only requirement his new family will need is to help him with leash walking bc he tends to pull and they need to be willing to allow him to sleep in the room at night with them bc he barks if kept on a different floor (or at least he has the past few days while in foster.) Stay tuned!

Meet Doug!Doug just joined Brookline today after his owner surrendered him. When asked what he would change about Doug if he could he said “absolutely nothing – he is perfect”. He was sad to see him leave but wants the best for him and felt working 10 hour days doesn’t give Doug the attention and time he deserves.
Doug is good with other dogs (big and small), children and also cats ! He lived with a kitten and they would cuddle all the time. He also loves to play ball!! He is 83 lbs. and could gain a few which his foster mom is happy to help him with! Check back soon for some more updates and photos as he settles in with his foster family.
