Fin is looking for a new forever family as his Mom is downsizing and moving to SC, and is unable to bring him along.
Fin is a smart boy. He settles easily inside on his favorite chair, and waits patiently while she works from home until it’s playtime or time for treats.
Fin lights up when you take him outside to play fetch with a tennis ball. He loves to run after the ball, and brings it right back for another toss from the “ChuckIt.” Fin is fast and athletic, and will play fetch for as long or as little as you want to play. Fin was previously trained to an electric fence.
Fin lived with a littermate, and another dog for two years but is now used to being an only dog in the family. He also has not lived with small children, but has visited with the grand baby. Fin would really prefer to remain an only dog/child, so he can get undivided love and attention from his family.
Fin is a beginner when it comes to on-leash walks. He was trained to an electric fence, so he was rarely walked. He is still learning leash manners, and initially pulls because he’s excited to get outside. With the correct harness, Fin will be an easy teach. He gets really excited to get out there and explore, and sniff. Outside is his favorite place to be, and he really lights up when he gets that opportunity. With the right help, Fin will become a great walking partner, and if you like to run, Fin would love to join you.
Fin is a shy boy initially. He needs a little extra time to feel comfortable with new people so a calm, welcoming and loving family who are home more than not during the day would really help him relax and settle into a new home more readily.
Fin is loyal, and sweet and will be a constant companion. He loves to keep his people company, and hang out by their side. He would be a great office mate if you are working from home, or a best buddy to join you on the couch when relaxing.
This guy will thrive with patience, time and love!
