Griffin Yellow Labrador Retriever Male 10 Months Old ID #2970

young yellow lab

Meet 10-month-old Griffin.  This handsome 60-pound boy is looking for a new place to hang his leash.  Griffin has been well cared for and loved, but his owner has come to the realization that she works too much and can’t provide him with enough attention and the consistent exercise that a young lab needs.

Griffin is house trained, crate trained and good with kids (although he has had no exposure to little ones and there likely would be a knock down factor owing to his enthusiasm).  He is also good with other dogs and love to play.  He currently lives with two cats, but they are not huge fans of his continued efforts to try to get them to play (he’s not taking the hint even after a claw swipe), so he might do best in a cat-free home.

Griffin is vaccinated and was recently neutered. Griffin was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) but has been symptom free since May when he was put on prescription food, a mild medication for IBS (tylosin) and given a daily probiotic (FortiFlora).  Adopters should know that the cost of these will run about $120/month.

Griffin loves to play fetch and it’s a great way to wear him out.  But he also likes to stick close to his people and soak up as much attention as you can give him.

Griffin is looking for an adoptive family that is home more than not and one where he will get several good walks and playtime.  Might that be you?
