yellow labrador retrieverTo say that Hannah has settled in and is comfortable would be an understatement! She made her way onto the couch yesterday as well as the hassock and fell immediately asleep. She has been sleeping so well at night and loves roaming in our fenced back yard. Although Hannah needs the exercise of a daily walk to keep healthy and joint flexible, she is not the kind of dog that requires long walks to settle. She is content with an amble and sniff in the yard. She is a very laid back kind of girl and definitely craves being with her humans.

yellow labrador retrieverBest fit for this beautiful senior lady would be in a home where someone would be there for companionship most of the time. Hannah is fully vetted, spayed, UTD on all her shots, Lyme and heartworm negative. She will be getting microchipped this weekend. Unlike most labs, Hannah does not gobble her food. She is hungry and eats a full meal in the morning but picks at her evening meal and seems satisfied. Like every lab known to man, she loves her treats and takes them so very gently like the beautiful lady she is!

Hannah opened her foster gift box kindly sent by Brookline volunteers. She immediately became attached to the stuffed lamb, and has been snuggling and sleeping with it!

yellow labrador retrieverShe continues to be an incredibly easy dog to love.  She likes her walks but doesn’t need to go too far since she is a sloooow walker who enjoys everything she sees. She sleeps nicely through the night and enjoys her treats (which she takes very gently and with wonderful manners). She doesn’t guard her food and is not aggressive in any way. She seems to pick “her person” and then is Velcro with that person but certainly loves everyone she meets.

Hannah arrived yesterday after a long journey from MS with puppies Oakley and Cody. The women who ran the transport company were exceptional in their patience, kindness, and caring for the animals. yellow labrador retrieverHannah has settled in very nicely. She rides in the car calmly with no issues and is good with dogs, cats, and kids. She is the most gentle dog and takes treats nicely.yellow labrador retrieverShe walks well on the leash and enjoys stopping for every bush and tree. She just turned 10 years old the other day, and is 70 pounds. She slept peacefully all night, and woke up with tail wagging. She loves to be loved and loves to be talked to.yellow labrador retriever
