Happy Chocolate Merle Labrador Retriever Mix Male 2.5 Years Old
Happy is currently looking for a foster or a foster to adopt family through Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue to spring him from the shelter. Unfortunately the longer he is in the shelter, the higher the risk that he will be euthanized for space.
Happy is a very handsome 2.5yo Chocolate Merle Labrador Mix that was found stray with his 2 brothers, Larson and Shooter.
Happy is very friendly and social, playful, curious and affectionate. He is also very food motivated and takes treats nicely. He was interested in chasing squeaky toys and balls but didn’t pick them up.
Happy does needs some leash training but walked well on a harness for the first time, and is easily redirected with treats.
Happy came into the shelter with other dogs, so we believe Happy would do well with other young playful dogs. As he is a confident dog, he would also do well as an only dog.
Happy is unknown with cats.
A fence is recommended but not required if the adopters are active and will exercise him well and can physically handle a big, strong dog on leash as he learns good leash manners.
