Indy Yellow Labrador Retriever Male 10 Weeks Old ID #1802

July 20, 2025

Yesterday was very busy helping to celebrate FM’s granddaughter’s birthday. They live by Darby Creek and I got to be part of the pack! I did get my paws wet, but swimming looks too scary.

Lots of running and chasing outside, so when everyone was inside fixing dinner and eating, I took a long nap!!!Yellow Labrador Retriever

I do like to nip when playing but everyone corrects it by putting a toy in my mouth. Finally, since I got too riled up, we just went inside for some time to settle down.

Maybe it was too big a day because last night I was up 3 times and really had to go outside to go potty. Today is going to be relaxed and just hanging out. We listen to the birds, watch the golfers go by and I do A LOT of sniffing. FM says I’m smelling the fox and deer and bunnies😃

Tomorrow off to the vet, whatever that means

First day with FM and I’m ready for bed. She keeps telling me I’m such a good boy and VERY smart. I think I have this “sit” thing down. Still hard to wait when a meal is being served!Yellow Labrador Retriever

Big guys came by with mowers and blowers but I wasn’t scared. Just interested.

We went over to visit grandchildren and what fun!! We ran and chased and took a nice walk by the creek. Their dog Sammy mostly lab wasn’t too happy with me, but was fine when we were walking. Another neighbor dog came by and wanted to play but knocked me into the creek. I swam like a champ and everyone cheered when I got out. I was proud.

Every time I do my business outside, FM says I’m such a good boy and I get a little treat. FM does take me outside every 90 minutes or so. I am a baby after all.

Think we’re both going to sleep tonight!!

P.S. the paper in the waste paper basket didn’t stay in there for very long. So much fun to pull out and rip. Those baby teeth are sharp!

There’s a reason God made puppies so cute.Yellow Labrador Retriever

Little Indy had us fooled last night.  He seemed like such a mellow puppy.  He snoozed in our laps and gave puppy kisses and has that wonderful puppy breath….

He slept in his crate and didn’t make a peep all night.  Around 7AM I heard him stirring so I got up and saw him sitting up in his crate.  Not barking.  Not crying.  What a good puppy.

I took him out to potty.  Then we had breakfast, and everyone went outside again to play.Yellow Labrador Retriever

Then… CRAZY PUPPY appeared!  After running away from Rubble, Lucy, and Kody yesterday, he decided he wanted to play with them today.  His idea of play was to charge at them and grab their tail, side, ear, or face with his teeth.  And you know what those sharp little puppy teeth are like.  Today, it was the big dogs running away from Indy! 😂 We tried our best to play with him and tire him out so the other dogs could have some peace.

Indy Playing Fetch

We gave him plenty of toys to chew on.

Playing with stuffies

We introduced him to the pool.  Not sure he’s a fan… but hopefully he’ll grow into it.

Indy’s First Swim

After all that, he still had crazy puppy energy tonight!  So, Mary took him for a walk to tire him out.  He’s finally tired.Yellow Labrador Retriever

And we’re exhausted! 🤪😂

It’s a good thing he is so cute! ❤️❤️❤️
