Meet Jax! Jax is a sweet 9.5 month old (DOB 09/28/25) Labrador mix who was surrendered to Brookline by his family because they are having twins and already have 3 kids. When the twins are born, they just won’t have the time to give him the attention he needs. Jax is an outgoing, friendly, loving dog who has been raised around a variety of people, kids and situations. Jax knows some basic commands, and is very treat motivated, so very trainable. He loves people, kids, other dogs, going in the water, playing with toys and balls, and wants to please. He goes with the flow in a very busy household and does well with a lot of commotion. He is very sweet and would do well in a variety of settings. He is also on the smaller side at 55lbs. He settles fairly easily after about 1/2 hour of playtime, which is amazing for his age. He will be a loving and loyal companion for a lucky family. Jax is in foster care at a training facility to brush up on his basic good dog behaviors and will be ready for adoption soon. Today Jax had his rescue ride and will be going to a training facility in NJ. 
Jax is your typical young Lab who loves people, kids and other dogs. He does need to work on his jumping up on people, and also brush up on his leash skills. Other than that, he is more than happy to give you slobbery kisses and receive lots of pats!
Jax is going to be able to polish up on those skills at the training academy, and then will be looking for a place to hang his leash.
Special thanks to two of our great volunteers for handling his transport to his new digs.
