Jenna #2 Yellow Labrador Retriever Female 4 Years Old ID #3542
December 9, 2025
With 4 weeks of great progress and transition, Jenna is now ready to find her forever home!
She is a 5 yo yellow lab that came from a Lancaster farm. She is a very sweet and calm lady that wants to hang out and go on walks with her owners and show how much she loves being part of a family. Jenna’s fostering has been amazing, watching her go from everything being unfamiliar to now being 100% comfortable as a loved house dog with a well-established daily routine.
She is good with new people, kids and has been fine with other dogs. She loves walks and is a constant sniffer. She is starting to engage in play and lap time.
Jenna has been crate trained and loves having a secure crate to just hang in when she is not exploring. She is not yet spayed as she is thought to be just post heat, so a spay agreement will be required.

Jenna has been with her FH for 2 weeks now and is adapting to her new world just fine! She enjoys long walks each day where she spends most of her time sniffing all that the walk has to offer! She seems to be fully house broken as long as she get to go outside often – still waiting for her to bark at the door that she has to go out, as she is very quiet when she is with family inside. She loves to lay down and roll over to have her belly scratched and will lay there for a looooong time as long as the scratches continue.
She loves to follow us around the house during the day so that she does not missing anything that might be going on.
This past weekend she made a trip to the shore and saw the ocean for the first time ever, which she really enjoyed. An entirely new world for her and she adapted well. She met a lot of new people and said hello with lots of wags. She was fine in the car ride with the biggest challenge being trying to and stay awake!

Jenna has been in her new FH for one week now and has made great progress! She is sleeping through “most” of the night now. She is doing great on walks and loves sniffing everything that she encounters.
She is starting to spend time outside watching the world go by as long as she knows we are not too far away. She loves head scratches which seem to be a new thing to her!
She ventured out into the woods this weekend which brought all kinds of new smells and objects to explore!

Jenna’s first weekend in a loving home is officially in the books. She spent her first full day simply taking in the world of indoor living, from walls and doors to windows and the television. She did not relax enough to sit down until the second day. A couple of restless nights were expected, and she handled them well.
She has already enjoyed several walks and seems to love the feeling of fresh air on her face. She was unsure about children at first, likely because she has not been around many small people, but she warmed up quickly. House training is underway, and she is learning fast.
Tonight, she is completely zonked out and snoring, a sure sign she is settling in beautifully.
