Luna #10 Chocolate Labrador Retriever Female 9 Years Old ID #3272

August 13, 2024

Luna has been relaxing and enjoying the summer with lots of snuggles.  She tried the kiddie pool during those hot days but wasn’t a big fan, she would rather take a nap in the air conditioning.  She is good friends with her foster brother and enjoys walks with him in the evening when it is cooler. Labrador RetrieverShe had a great meet with a potential adopter and is currently pending to be adopted after her future mom gets back from vacation.

Luna is feeling more comfortable and content in her foster home.  She loves to come to the door when her foster parents come home with a big tail wag and holding a toy.  She continues to go on daily walks (weather permitting) to try to keep losing weight although she loves to be a doggy vacuum and find anything dropped on the floor.

Luna went on her first outing last weekend to a dog friendly brewery with her foster brother.  She got lots of pets and attention and enjoyed laying on the cool concrete floor.

Luna is currently being trained to use a ramp which will hopefully make it easier to get in and out of the car. Labrador Retriever

Luna is getting more comfortable every day and brings us toys to play. She is great about going outside for potty time. Fireworks and thunder do not seem to bother her, she snoozed right through them! She loves to cuddle and nudge you when you stop petting her. She hardly ever barks but enjoys looking out the storm door to see everything going by.

Luna is setting well. She is very easy going and nothing seems to bother her. She is enjoying her new foster siblings (cats and dogs). She has a good appetite and sleeps great all night. We are working on getting her  slimmer so we have been going on evening walks as long as it isn’t too hot or raining. She loves getting brushed and playing with her toys.Chocolate Labrador Retriever

Earlier this week we welcomed 9 year old Luna into the rescue.  It was a bit of a scramble, as her owner was leaving town pretty immediately, and was planning to surrender her to the Atlantic County shelter.   We were able to quickly evaluate Luna and bring her into foster care.

Luna is a big fan of cats, as she previously lived with 6 of them, a well as with another Lab and a Great Dane.Chocolate Labrador Retriever  Luna has a calm demeanor, seems to like everyone she meets, and is pretty easy to have around.
