Machito continues to enjoy his time at Kamp. He has been meeting lots of dog and learning appropriate play from them. Sometimes, Machito gets to be a little too much and jumps on his friend’s backs. Most of his friends are not a fan and let him know and he seems to be listening sometimes. Machito’s favorite playmate Bear was adopted so he’s getting to know more new friends. Machito did great on a walk out with his friend, Jilly

Bear and Machito are still having a good time playing together out in the yard.
Machito also met a new friend Jilly, and did really well with her and was very respectful. Machito decided that the pool was great too and enjoyed splashing around.
I was able to practice leash skills around other dogs with Machito today. He was very excited, trying to pull toward the other dog, but the gentle leader was very effective. He still tried to pull and get his own way, but he was not successful. When he settled down and got more relaxed, he got to go over to say “HI” to the other dog which made him very happy.

Machito arrived to Kamp over the Labor Day weekend. He is gradually settling in, getting used to the staff and the facility. He was a bity shy and nervous at first, but with several fun outings to the yard the last couple of days and everyone giving him treats and telling him how handsome he is, he’s much happier.
He loves playing ball and does bring it back. He loves treats, but can get a little to excited sometimes when he’s taking them. He’s VERY strong on the leash, so we’ll introduce the gentle leader soon.He got to meet Bash, a former Brookline dog, through the fence yesterday. They were both very happy to say Hello!
Today I introduced Machito and fellow foster, Bear. They got along very well. They have been alternating playing with sniffing in the yard. They are both VERY nice boys!
