Missy #6 Chocolate Labrador Retriever Female 7 Years Old ID#3537
Meet Missy! Missy is a 7-year-old farm girl. She hasn’t had a litter for about 4 years. She could run the farm by day and slept in a shed at night. What a sweet girl she is! Please read her blog from the bottom up to learn more about her while in foster care.

Missy has continued to settle in to her life off the farm. We had an initial visit with the doctor and are treating some basic needs she had, some itchy coat and worms. We will be following up next week with the Vet to finish up her initial shots and health needs.
She loves to play in the yard with her foster siblings and enjoys walks. She is a great walking companion as she doesn’t pull but sometimes wants to walk behind you.
Missy really enjoys sleeping in the bed and recently took over the main spot in my oldest child’s bed.

Missy was excited to receive her care package! She has already enjoyed the chew toys so much.

Missy has enjoyed getting settled into our pack.
She has learned to master the stairs. She is very curious about our cats and they don’t feel the same about her. She is doing well on leash and also continues to show her strength in recall.
She sleeps very well on the dog bed in our bedroom at night. She does well out of the crate as well. She is so sweet!

We have had a great 24 hours getting to know Missy. She has been such an angel since joining our home.
We discovered quickly steps aren’t happening just yet other than the 1-2 we have to enter the house.
She appears to do well with some recall and basic sit commands.
She is such a nice little lady no counter surfing and is not possessive about food with any of our dogs.
We took her for a nice car ride today and then to get a bath as she definitely had some farm dog smell to her.
She has not been jumpy or nervous with any of the noises like vacuums or hair dryers. She seemed most comfortable staying in her crate last night.
