Mocha #13 Chocolate Labrador Retriever Female 6 Years Old ID#3442

Mocha is still very nervous and unsure of her surroundings. She definitely doesn’t like men, but has been slowly taking treats from my husband. She is a sweetheart with me, just needs some time to acclimate. She does love the baby pool I have for my resident dogs. It’s fun to see her relax and play. Definitely needs work on housebreaking. Her problem is that she can hold it for a long time. Hopefully, when it gets hotter, she will drink more.

Mocha wants to thank Brookline for her welcome goodie Box. She loves all the toys & treats. We are working on getting her comfortable around men. I left her with my husband overnight while I attended the Devon Horse Shows with my daughter. Mocha chooses to sleep on the couch instead of in my room.
But she did eat for my husband, and no accidents in the house. We will continue to show & safety her love from both my husband & I.

Mocha has been doing great. We are proud to say she has lost 4 pounds since she became our foster. She is a very picky eater, but I am working on adding Saint Roccos & Stella & Chewys food toppers to her food. She did have a couple of accidents in the house, but I have learned she has to be watched and coaxed when she is put out to do her business. Or she won’t go. She is super sweet and loves the resident dogs, cats & people. She also has found her voice. When the resident dogs bark (usually at nothing), she joins them too. We will continue with her weight loss and housebreaking, and getting her more comfortable in her surroundings.

Mocha has been with us for a week now and is settling in nicely. She has mastered the wood floor & stairs. She was originally afraid of them.
She is doing well with the cats, dogs, horses, and resident tortoise she currently lives with. Originally, Mocha didn’t like my daughters’ male dog. At the second introduction, they were fine together.
She is the sweetest dog that just wants to be loved and to be with me, to feel safe. The vet said she had to lose 25 pounds. We are walking, and she is playing with our resident dogs. She has not had any accidents, she does not go to the bathroom a lot. Our vet thought she may have been water restricted, so she doesn’t need to drink a lot. That may change over time. All in all, she is slowly adjusting, and we will give her all the time she needs. She is a lovely girl.

Hi All,
My name is Mocha, and I was just sprung off the farm by 2 really nice Brookline volunteers. They did this thing called an evaluation and touched me all over and gave me lots of attention. I was really nervous, but they were sweet to me. I am almost 6 years old. I have had lots of puppies, but now I hear my puppy-making days are over. I am a little tired from my travels, so my Foster Mom will take over telling the rest of my story. I just want to add that I am a beautiful chocolate girl who is a full-figured girl.
FM here:
Mocha joined our pack on Saturday. She was a little nervous of her surroundings. There are so many new things for her to see and learn. In the beginning she was afraid to come in the house. Wood floors are scary, but she is slowly gaining confidence. She has been hanging out in one room with carpet.
Mocha has had no accidents so far. She met the resident dogs and the tortoise without issues.
She has made herself comfortable in the dog bed. FM didn’t want to leave Mocha alone so soon, so she got to go to the office with the rest of the pack. She needs some time to relax and learn the routine. She is making a great start. Mocha needs to drop some weight before she can be spayed. Then she will be available for adoption.
