Mya #4 Black Labrador Retriever Female 5 Years Old ID #3270

Miss Mya…Miss Mya…Miss Mya…
Man is she smart! A little too smart and she is such a cuddle bug it’s hard to be annoyed at her.
I was warned that she is a counter surfer and gets into garbage but where there’s a will, there’s a way 😜…
She is still on her chicken and rice diet and I will keep her that way until she goes in (on Tuesday) and recovers from her spay procedure.
We received our welcome care package and she loved the stuffies and balls in there (to pieces)🤣
She loves to go for walks through the neighborhood and say hello to everyone.
My house has gotten very active with kids on my block coming in and out of the house. She loves the hustle and bustle and never tries to run out when the door is open.
She also alerts me when my next door neighbors are coming and going from their house-just in case I wanted to know.

Mya is adjusting nicely and loved visiting another foster mom over the Thanksgiving weekend.
We stopped her antibiotics for a few days since it was making her sick and put her on a diet of Chicken and Rice to get her settled.
Last night we began her meds again and will keep her on the bland diet and see how it goes. Hopefully this combination will be much better for her stomach.
She was around a lot of family and loved all the attention and extra pets.
Mya has been very itchy and want to thank The Posh Pooch in Cherry Hill for giving her the royal treatment with a deep scrub and cleaning. I have seen a difference in scratching in the last 24 hours so hopefully she is much more comfortable.

Night 2 of Crate training was better than the first and it only took her a half hour to go to sleep which is much better than the hour of barking and a few howls from the first night.
3rd night- I caved…. 90min of barking. (let me add that she doesn’t make a peep all day).
She ended up in bed with us…
Lots of walks and she got to meet some family who have a pet rabbit. I have heard from her previous family that she doesn’t get along with cats but can say that she couldn’t have cared less about the rabbit in the cage. Maybe if it was running and Mya thought it was a game of chase but in the cage- gave a few sniffs and moved on.
She did have an accident in the house this evening and an hour later vomited. I am thinking maybe reaction to the new food or medicine so I will not crate her tonight so I can keep an eye on her.
Her appointment to get Spayed is all set for 1st week in December.

My heart is exploding. Meet Miss Mya. A true beauty!
She’s house broken, is good with sit and stay and a dream with the leash.
Really-the sweetest thing ever.
Working on crate training.
