Mya Yellow Labrador Retriever Female 4 Years Old

February 5, 2020

Meet Mya!  She is about to turn 4-years-old on February 9th.  She is the most affectionate girl, who loves to roll over for some belly rubs.  She has been one family’s pet since she was purchased as a puppy. Her family is looking for new home for her, as their schedules have changed and they aren’t around enough for Mya.  They want what is best for her, so they are looking for a family that can give Mya what she loves most, love and affection.

Mya enjoys playing fetch and has the gentlest soft mouth when retrieving.

However, she will set to work on chewing her toys, so she needs tough toys.  She loves to go for walks and is amazing on leash.  She checks in with her person and is a loose leash walker.  That is good because Mya could stand to lose a few of those extra pounds, so daily exercise will be good for her.  She currently weighs in at 94lbs.

Mya was crate trained as a puppy, but hasn’t been crated in years, as she’s good out of the crate.  Just make sure to keep your socks put away.  What is it with labs and socks?!  She also respects gates and can be gated which is helpful, as Mya also likes to investigate the garbage can if given the opportunity!

Mya has not lived with another dog, but she does well when meeting other dogs out on walks.  She also does well with other dogs at the dog park.  Mya has not had exposure to cats, but she does like to chase small critters, so cats are unknown.  Mya has not lived with small children, but she has visiting family members that are young children and she is wonderful with them.  She may have a bit of a knockdown factor with the littlest ones, but she’s so sweet.

Mya is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.  She does have allergies that present with periodic ear infections and skin rash.  Her adoptive family will need to be willing to follow up on this with their vet.  Mya will repay you for your commitment to her with lots of love and devotion.  That seems like a good trade to me!  Let’s help Mya find her happily ever after, she deserves that!
