Nyla Yellow Labrador Retriever Female, 5 Months Old

May 12, 2019

5 month yellow Labrador RetrieverMeet 5 month old Nyla. Cute as a button, this 40+ pound dog (and growing!) is available for adoption. Nyla is house trained, crate trained and is current with her vaccines. Nyla is a happy going young lady who loves to go for walks. She walks pretty well on a leash, but is learning not to pull in excitement when she sees other dogs. Nyla is also very toy oriented, and she happily entertains herself with her toys (she can be very independent). She is learning to fetch; she happily runs to get the ball and brings it back, but she is still learning that she needs to drop the ball to keep the game going.

Nyla currently goes to doggie day care a few times a week, and she is a staff favorite.5 month yellow Labrador Retriever It’s no wonder as she is good with everyone (two and four legged) she meets.

Any new owner needs to be aware that Nyla still often jumps up in excitement to meet new people and she still exhibits some puppy mouthiness (and those teeth are sharp), but these are all age appropriate behaviors that Nyla will continue to outgrow with proper training. Nyla is a smart girl who clearly wants to please.

Nyla has loving owners whose family situation has changed such that they need to re-home her. This decision was not made lightly, so they are looking for a home that they can feel really good about to make this a little easier on all. That being said, they are hoping to find a home where someone can be home more than not so she doesn’t spend her day in a crate.
