yellow labrador retriever mixRamsey is a 5 month old cuddly puppy who was brought up from Mississippi.  She is pretty much house trained and does not go after non-dog items besides bringing us shoes.   She is a very playful dog who loves being with her people.  She would love a family that has another playful dog but that is not a requirement.  She has done well with kids of all ages and is a joy to be around.yellow labrador retriever mix yellow labrador retriever mix

Ramsey has started to settle nicely into our routine.  She heads to bed around 11pm and sleeps in until around 8am.  She’s been doing really well in the crate at night and we can see on the puppy camera that she hears us moving around in the morning but waits patiently for us to get her.yellow labrador retriever mixAfter some play time in the morning and a 20 minute walk she’s been happy to sprawl out on a dog bed and nap during the day while foster mom and dad are working.  Ramsey weighed in at 26 pounds and we started working on her puppy push ups (sit, stand, and down) and also paw.  She’s a curious puppy and will occasionally try to reach up to a counter but has been responding well to off.yellow labrador retriever mixAfter work, she can turn into a bit of a firecracker with our energetic 1.5 year lab as they feed off each others energy while playing.  She is starting to learn the term “take a break” when the dogs need a couple of minutes to reset.  After playing she will join us on the couch.yellow labrador retriever mix

Ramsey had another uneventful night and settled down quickly in the crate.  She is a pretty calm dog in the morning and loves to give you her belly for rubs.  She has not starting signaling to go out but we make sure to take her out after play sessions and she knows to go to the bathroom outside.  After playing with the resident dog she naps hard.  She also spent about two hours in the crate during the day while foster mom and dad were doing some cleaning.  Ramsey did well on an half hour walk but you have to watch your step as she likes to zig-zag back and forth. yellow labrador retriever mix

Ramsey was a joy in the car and slept the whole way home.  She was a little nervous coming into our house but once she met the resident dog it was like a light switch went off and she changed into a happy energetic puppy.

She loves to be pet and spent hours yesterday playing and running around the house with the resident dog.  No accidents in the house so far and she started settling down around 8 o’clock.  yellow labrador retriever mixWe put her in the crate around 10 pm and after five minutes of crying she settled down and didn’t make a another peep until I got her up around 6:45 am.  In the morning she decided to bring every dog toy to her dog bed making sure to sample each one to figure out which one she liked best. yellow labrador retriever mixShe spent another couples hours playing this morning and is currently taking a nice long nap a play pen.
