chocolate labrador retrieverRoxy has been with us for a week now! She’s settling in wonderfully with us and our resident dog. The two of them are best pals on their daily walks.chocolate labrador retriever chocolate labrador retrieverRoxy is so gentle and calm. She’s great with children and sweet with dogs. She’s not very food motivated and doesn’t know many commands, but it learning quickly.chocolate labrador retrieverchocolate labrador retrieverShe doesn’t jump up. She knows to sit. She doesn’t chew on anything and after a week is completely free in the house alone with our resident dog. She’s able to jump in and out of the back of the SUV and can easily navigate the hardwood stairs.chocolate labrador retrieverShe occasionally whines and will sometimes bark. It’s not a nuisance and is easily corrected. She does well when left home alone with our resident dog for a few hours.chocolate labrador retrieverThe house is full of children’s toys and she’s yet to chew anything. She went for a vet clinic visit today and behaved wonderfully around other humans and dogs. She’s yet to have an accident.chocolate labrador retriever

She’s settling in wonderfully and getting along great with all the humans and resident lab.chocolate labrador retrieverShe is walking wonderfully on a leash, and barely reacts to other passing dogs. She went on a few walks today, played out back and took a few a naps as well. She’s had free run of the house with no chewing or accidents.chocolate labrador retrieverShe’s looking like she will make a wonderfully four legged family member!

chocolate labrador retrieverMeet Roxy! Roxy is a 5 year old pure bred chocolate lab who was just rescued from an Amish farm where she was a breeding mama. She is good with kids and other dogs.chocolate labrador retrieverAfter visiting a few houses on her way to us over the last few days, Roxy is finally settled in with her foster family. She’s a tad shy, but curious and gentle and warming up as the day progresses!chocolate labrador retrieverShe weighed in a 87 lbs and will benefit from losing a little weight. She has a beautiful thick coat of fur that is almost auburn in color. So far she has have behaved wonderfully. She’s great with both our resident dog and the resident children. We took a short 10 minute walk and she did very well on a leash.
