Sadie Yellow Labrador Retriever Female 6 Years Old
Meet beautiful Sadie!
Sadie has been with her foster mom for three weeks now and has made huge progress…but…
Sadie has been badly abused. She is by far, the worst case I’ve seen. That being said, she really wants to be loved. Her first response is to run from you but she immediately comes back to you. Because she really does want to be loved. She just has to learn that the first response is love, not abuse. sadie video2
For Sadie specifically, she has made great strides. She has a long way to go. But for her, she is progressing in many ways. She is now eating 2X a day. She is potty trained. She loves to play with the other dogs. She loves people. She is crate trained. She wants to be near my cutting board when I accidentally drop people food. Our biggest hurdle is fear.
Sadie is making progress each day. She love loves her too small dog bed and snores and sleeps so soundly! She loves to play in the fenced yard with the other dogs. sadie video
She has specific needs that must be met. A quiet home. A fenced yard. At least one other youngish social dog to play and help her continue her journey. A interested family would do best to see her with us, where she feels safe and to see her in her safe spot and how she responds to life in our home.
I realize this will be a complication the farther people live but it’s paramount. A successful adoption will require a home visit with her and me.
Sweet Sadie will only get better with time. She is 100% not a risk for snapping/growling or anything of that nature. She is the sweetest soul.
