Tesla Yellow Labrador Retriever Female 6 Years Old ID#3279
October 22, 2024
Tesla has had a busy few days!! She spent all day Saturday greeting people at Brookline’s booth at Barktoberfest. A lot of people stopped to say hi to her and she couldn’t get enough belly rubs and pets! She loved all attention! Tesla was spayed yesterday and is doing well. She will be on restrictions for a while but once she’s fully recovered she will be ready for her forever home. For now she’s resting with her foster siblings.

Tesla continues to be so happy and sweet. Found out, she loves kids!!! Especially if they are the right height for kisses, she licks the neighbor’s daughters face and the little girl just giggles. Tesla is great for nail trims, teeth brushing, ear cleaning and baths, although she needs a nap after a bath, see photo. I’m the one that should have taken a nap after bathing 4 large dogs! Tesla got her goodie box yesterday and decided she liked the big bone the best! She’s picking up the pace on our walks and my one neighbor said she looks like she’s lost weight. I can’t wait to see what Val and Mark think tomorrow when they see again after 2 wks. She’s scheduled to be spayed and mastectomy on Monday.

Tesla continues to be so happy and sweet. She loves being outside and taking in all the smells and sunshine.
We’re working on her weight loss so I introduced baby carrots to her for treats. I wish I had my phone nearby to get a video, she dropped the carrot and then rolled her head and body over it on the floor and looked at me like this isn’t a treat…but I held firm and she finally ate it and now she thinks they make a good treat. We’re continuing our walks and some play time in the yard.Tesla is scheduled to be spayed and mammary tumor removed in 2 weeks. This should give her time to lose weight for surgery.Tesla loves to snuggle, the one attached picture is her head on my chest getting as close as she could. She’s just such a sweetheart!

I brought Tesla home yesterday and in one day she acts like she’s always been here. Tesla is a 6yr old English cream girl who was used for breeding but will now start a new life as a family member. She gets along great with the other 3 dogs and doesn’t bother the cats. Tesla met some neighbors today 2 and 4 legged and she greeted all with a wagging tail. She’s adorable and beautiful!!!
Things we’ve learned in a short time:
– she’s housebroken
– she likes to chase tennis balls
– she will get into a car without issue
– she’s crate trained
– she’s a zig zagger on the leash but doesn’t pull
– she’s very overweight
Tesla was a hit at vet office today, they all thought she was adorable. She has ear infections which we started treating and a mass that will be removed in addition to being spayed.
