Trixie, Yellow Labrador Retriever Female, 7 Years Old
Trixie
March 28, 2018
Trixie continues to heal and blossom! She now freely grabs toys and balls and plays. Her favorite place is on your lap or laying in the kitchen when food is getting prepared.
She likes to help with the dishes too and will lick all the dirty ones if the dishwasher door is open :o). She has bounced back much faster on this second surgery and we have a hard time keeping her 🤫 quiet. Her staples come out in March 27th and then she will be available for adoption. Trixie gets along with my three pups, but is more a people Lab. She won’t work if you are looking for a friend for your other dog, she only wants to be with her people and chill. She loves car rides and will bolt out the front door and jump right in the car too!
She needs someone to love her and spoil her in her golden years. This Lab is so gentle and sweet, the family that adopts her will be very lucky!
Come out and meet Trixie at a Brookline Meet and Greet! Contact your volunteer and check the Facebook page for dates!
Hi Everyone! I am Trixie a gorgeous yellow Lab and I’m sweet as can be.
My foster mom says I’m one of the most loving Labs she has ever fostered. I love love to be petted, and if you stop I will nudge your hand for more. I sit on my foster dad’s lap and we snuggle while we watch our shows are on at night 🙂
Guess what? I am a breast cancer survivor!
Brookline gave me two surgeries and now everything is good!
My new family will have to check me once a month, but the Vet says it may never come back now that I’m spayed and all my boobies are gone. The t-shirt stopped me from messing with my stitches, and Foster Mom thought I looked very nauticial. As soon as my last stitches come out we are going to the beach to see if I love to swim.
I am living with three other Labs and we all get along great. I have learned to chase the ball, I bring it back too, and sometimes I play with squeaky toys. I never had toys and balls before but I watch the other dogs and it looks like fun. The little girl I met at the bus stop thought I was so cute, so I let her pet me over and over and I was very good with her. No little kids should ever jump or lay on any dog, but petting and playing ball I like!
We walk a few miles every day for exercise, summer is coming ya know and I need to get into bathing suit shape!! Foster Dad says all dogs should be walked, it is the best way to bond with your dog.
So on April 1st I will start my search for my furever home, could that be you?
Love Trixie Girl
