Zuma Chocolate Labrador Retriever Male 1 Year 3 Months

Meet Zuma! Zuma is a handsome, very friendly, and energetic 1yo purebred Labrador Retriever. His owners need to find him a new home as they recently had a baby and don’t have the time to provide him with the exercise he needs.Zuma is looking for an adopter or foster to adopt family that can provide some consistent and positive training to help teach him some self control and good doggie manners as he still has some puppy behaviors that need to be corrected.

Zuma loves to be with his people and currently lives with a 3 month old and a 13yo.  Zuma is good with the 13yo and plays with him both inside and outside.  Zuma’s favorite game is chase, and he loves chew bones.  Soft squeaky toys don’t last long with this guy, however!Zuma currently lives with a 6yo dog but we feel he will do best as an only dog as he is very playful with other dogs but doesn’t understand when his doggie friends are done playing and tends to annoy other dogs. As Zuma tends to think that small furry things would make a good squeaky toy, he needs a no cat home.Zuma is looking for a family that is active and will take him on lots of adventures to expend his boundless “puppy” energy.  He walks well on the leash but does occasionally bark at passing dogs.  He is very food motivated and easily redirected with food which should make him trainable.  He would also do best with a fenced yard, so he can get in his off leash playtime.

Zuma is crate trained, up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and neutered.
