Poison Prevention Week
March 16 @ 12:30 am - March 22 @ 11:30 pm

Look around your home, inside and out, to identify any potential dangers for your pet. Here are some important steps to take:
1. Secure chemicals in a location your pets can’t access.
2. Keep medicines secure. Even over-the-counter medications can be harmful to pets.
3. Dispose of harmful food or keep them out of your pet’s reach. Foods like chocolate, grapes, and onions can be toxic.
4. Explore your yard for poisonous plants and bulbs. Common plants like lilies, tulips, and daffodils can be dangerous.
5. Remind guests that you don’t feed your pet table scraps. Many human foods are not safe for pets.
Visit the ASPCA Animal Poison Control website http://aspca.org/pet-care/animal-poison-control for more information on how to protect your pet and who to contact in an emergency. Pet-proof your home both indoors and out.
