Spay/Neuter Awareness Month is observed throughout February. Its primary focus is to educate pet owners and the general public about the positive impact of spaying and neutering pets. This surgical procedure helps control the pet population and provides numerous health and behavioral benefits to animals. If all pet owners do their part and make sure their pets are sterilized, the staggering number of animals in homeless shelters will decrease.
