Bailey #27 Yellow Labrador Retriever Female 7 Years Old ID#3544

Yellow Labrador retrieverMeet Bailey!  Bailey is an adorable, and friendly purebred yellow Labrador who was surrendered to Brookline along with Sasha as the farmer had too many dogs on the farm.  Bailey lived her whole life on the farm and called the barn her home.  Please read her blog from the bottom up to learn about her new adventures living inside a real home while in foster care.

Bailey has been loving life. She has been enjoying snuggles on the couch and lots of extra love since since she was spayed last week. She was the best girl at the vet and everyone loved her. It takes her a bit of coaxing to get in and out of the car but (before her surgery) she has been joining me for school dropoff/pickup. Yellow Labrador RetrieverWe have found that she prefers soft treats and loves chicken and cheese. She has also become a certified member of the neighborhood watch Yellow Labrador Retriever Yellow Labrador Retriever and is looking forwarding to getting back to her daily walks and playtime with her foster brother and sister once she’s healed. Yellow Labrador RetrieverWe are counting down the days! I’ve also attached a pic of her rockin’ her onesie.Yellow Labrador Retriever

Bailey has had a great week! No potties in the house, playing more with my dogs and relaxing with some very BIG snores on the couch. She even conquered the stairs into the yard this morning!! She really loves being with us and when I watch her on the camera when we leave the house, she sits and stares at the door (breaking my heart every time).Yellow Labrador RetrieverThis girl is a big lovebug who loves to cuddle. She will cry at night while I am putting my daughter to bed but once she’s snuggled up with me she sleeps through the night. She’s been going on daily walks to the park. She will try to go after squirrels (and chases them in the yard), so we are working on that. We are also working on sit and off. Bailey loves meal time but isn’t a fan (yet) of any fruits or veggies I’ve tried to give her. She is a counter surfer and has taken to stealing our shoes, typical lab shenanigans 🙂

The foster welcome package was so nice to receive in the mail. My daughter was so excited that Bailey got mail! Bailey LOVES the stuffies and Benebone.

Here is a video of Bailey playing in the yard.

Bailey is loving life! This girl LOVES stuffies and will throw them around, playing with them by herself. She also LOVES love and attention makes her super happy. Yellow Labrador retriever

You would never know this girl is considered a senior the way she plays with my dogs.

Last night was about the same as the night before, still restless and crying but less with a bit more sleep. Pottying outside during the day with an accident or two overnight.

She is resting more during the day and a lot less panting.

She walked really well on a leash for a 20 minute walk to the park yesterday. She smelled all the smells and was slightly interested in the squirrels.

Bailey had a better night last night. Less restless and more sleep. She is playing more with my two dogs, but gets winded quickly. She takes a break and then it’s back to playing. She LOVES stuffies (which is good because we have about 500 of them!), and has taken to grabbing two at a time. She is starting to settle more and relaxing when the rest of the house is resting too. She is going potty outside more and we’re working on sit, not jumping for treats and going down the stairs. Here is a pic of her with two stuffies 🙂Yellow Labrador retriever

Bailey is doing great! She has done well with my two dogs and loves my 4 yr old daughter. She went up the stairs like a champ, has found out that the couch is the comfiest spot in the house and already knows where we keep the treats. She LOVES stuffies and has carried one in her mouth since she’s walked through the door.

She did well in the yard and had fun exploring. She is currently eating a frozen peanut butter kong and loving it! She didn’t sleep too well but other than that she is fitting in nicely. She is a sweetheart!

Bailey had her rescue ride off the farm today.  She spent a little time with her transporter before heading to her foster home.  This girl loves a good game of fetch!
