Dolly #3 Black Labrador Mix Female 3 Months Old ID#3908
Meet Dolly! Dolly is an adorable black Labrador mix whose owners were giving her away for free outside of a Walmart in AR. A Monticello Second Chance Fur Dog Rescue volunteer saw her and asked the owners if they could safely re home the puppy for them. Brookline has helped this AR rescue find loving adoptive homes for some of their other dogs and now it is Dolly’s turn! Dolly is currently in a foster home in AR and will be ready to come North on October 31! Please read Dolly’s blog from the bottom up to learn more about this cutie pie!

Dolly had her second set of vaccinations, tested negative on her fecal and was all set to be transported North on October 16/17. Unfortunately last weekend, her foster Mom took in a new foster dog who after a couple days started displaying signs of illness. Dolly was in the same house as the sick dog. Due to these circumstances, Dolly’s trip North has been postponed out of an abundance of caution. Once Dolly has been cleared by the vet, she will be available to adopt. In the meantime, she is loving hanging out with all the big dogs and playing.
Those big dogs definitely come in handy when a girl needs a pillow to rest her head on.
She is a spunky and confident girl who doesn’t hesitate to join in with the other dogs but also venture out in the yard on her own sniffari.
We recently took a ride to the vet for her boosters. The vet tech at her last appointment fell in love with her. I thought she might kidnap her when she was out back! LOL
Dolly isn’t shy about telling me when she doesn’t like something either. I always pick her up when it’s time to head outside with the pack so they she doesn’t get run over in the dog stampede. She’ll squiggle and complain and want to be down in the actions with the other dogs.
She is starting to learn the routine and now will come running with the other dogs when I say it’s time to head back inside.
I will miss this one when she heads out to her forever home. She keeps us entertained with her antics and big personality!! She is going to make some family very happy.

Dolly’s foster says she is a super sweet girl who does great in a crate.
She also is very content to hang out in a carrier.
Dolly is a confident puppy and readily explores her new environment.
She does well with all the other dogs out in the yard.
Dolly has received her first set of vaccinations and should be ready for travel mid to late October.
Stay tuned for more updates as her foster in AR learns more about her.
