Kora Black Labrador Retriever Female 6 Months Old ID #3545
November 17, 2025
Kora continues to enjoy her daily walks at home or at our local park. She rides so nicely in the car. She also had a great time over the weekend at a fall festival. She was very popular and got lots of pets! She was a bit skittish around the cars and the unfamiliar environment, but she handled it well overall. She continues to thrive with patience and lots of love.
She absolutely adores her balls and chew toys, and she’s been having a blast chasing the resident dogs around the yard. She loves to lay with them for a quick nap!
Kora is incredibly loving and is learning our routines so well. She’s also working on her commands and already does an excellent job with “sit.” Kora will make such a loving dog to her family. She brings so much love and companionship.
Here is a video of her playing with our resident dogs –

Kora received her welcome box today! Thank you so much to everyone who works so hard to make the special welcome boxes! This made her day!
Kora continue to love her toys! She loves to pick out a toy and bring it back to her bed. She loves to play fetch outside in the fenced in yard. She has so much fun running around with the resident dogs.
She is doing so much better at night. She is sleeping through the night now. She continues to sleep on her bed in a gated area of our room. The crate is still a bit stressful for her while we are at work or school. When in her crate, we are giving her a Kong with peanut butter which is helping her.
Kora is a sweetheart and such a love bug.

Kora is quickly learning what it means to be part of a family. She is always giving out kisses to the resident dogs and of course all of us too!
She is having a bit of a tough time in her crate at night. She has been crying and barking throughout the night. We set up a gated area in our room with her bed on night 2 to help her to know we are close by. She slept so well! Kora definitely needs to know someone is close by.
She has been enjoying lots of walks. We are working on leash training. She likes to zig zag around! She is very observant to her surroundings. She spots bunnies and birds! She even tried to chase a squirrel!
She is so playful and has been playing a lot with our 3-year-old lab. She likes to snuggle up against our 7-year-old lab! She loves her toys!

We welcomed Kora yesterday! A very special thank you to Deb Hagen for evaluating these three special puppies and for giving them their rescue ride.
Kora rode nicely to NJ and went straight to the vet to get her vaccinations. She weighs 48lbs and did great getting her shots. She is approximately 6 months old. She next got a much needed bath! There was so much dirt that came off of this little girl!
She slept well in her crate. She woke up a few times but quickly settled back to sleep. She is eating well. She is peeing and pooping outside and only had a couple of accidents.
She has been exploring the fenced in yard. She was a bit unsure of some of her new surroundings but is doing so much better already.
She met our two resident dogs. Everyone is getting to know one another!
She loves to snuggle up to people and has been really seems to love balls and toys!
She is adorable!
