Molly #29 Black Labrador Retriever Mix 1 Year Old Female #3413
I was able to roam around and investigate, and I ran and played in the creek.
Meet Molly! This pretty 1 yo girl was found stray and ended up at ACCT Philadelphia. This lucky girl was saved on the day she was slated to be euthanized but unfortunately did not get along with the rescuers resident dog so she is now looking for her forever home! Please read her blog from the bottom up to learn more about her.

Smart, funny, vivacious Molly is on to her next adventure. Her transporters shared the following:
Today we had the pleasure of meeting Molly and transporting her to Tall Tails. Molly is a very gentle young lady .
FM Regina and her family have done an amazing job starting to get Molly ready for her forever family and it was difficult to say goodbye, but she is now headed for some more fun and training challenges.
Our son Chris, who is on the spectrum, comes with us to help with Brookline adventures and as always with the rescues, Miss Molly took a shine to him.
Chris thought it was hilarious that Molly sat on his feet during the ride because she is quite the lump. As Regina said, she thinks she’s a lap dog.
Molly spent the hour and a half ride chewing on a Nyla bone or playing with her favorite stuffed squirrel, and now and then looking up to re-arrange the quilts or look out the window. She was such a sweet, easy girl to transport.
Once we arrived, she hopped out and admired the view – Tall Tails really is in a lovely setting.
Molly is a beautiful, affectionate girl and we look forward to hearing how she is doing with her training .

- Do you have an outdoor space with really good smells? Because I like to take walks and smell everything!
- Do you like to play tug of war? Well, I really like when FD will play tug with me with my rope.
- When you have a lot of energy, do you like to run around and get it all out of your system? I do!
- Do you like when it’s hot or cold outside? I don’t mind the summer heat but when I come home from a walk, I really enjoy laying on the cold floor in the mudroom.

But I also like to snuggle up underneath the cat’s playhouse.
But if you like to snuggle, so do I!
I’m sure my forever family is out there looking for me. You can let them know that I am doing so much better with my potty skills and haven’t had an accident in over a week! FM tells me I am such a good girl and I am so smart. I like to learn new things and I listen really well, especially when we see another dog on our walks. I really just want to be your best friend. Will you be mine?
Love, Molly xo

Hi again! It’s me Molly reporting in. I’ve had a really fun weekend so I thought I should tell you about it.
Me and FM love to go for walks together. We like to go early in the morning or after the sun sets because it’s too hot out during the day and FM worries about my paws. When we went out for or walk on Friday, we ran into these funny looking creatures that FM said were wild turkeys. They were wild looking! I could stop starring at them.
Then on Saturday morning we ran into a cat. He stared at me when we walked by and I got scared!
But there is a really nice lady who leaves water out for doggies so we can have a drink and cool off.
On Saturday afternoon, FM and FD went to visit their grandbaby. I didn’t get to go with them but I didn’t mind, even though I love to take rides in the car. I got to stay home with my FB. He had his friends over and they all went swimming. I wouldn’t go in the pool with them, but I laid right by it keeping my eye on them. They even bought me a pup cup when the ice cream man came around. They played with me all day. I had so much fun.
When FM and FD got home, I was so tired, I didn’t even want to go for my walk.
On Sunday my foster Uncle came to visit me and bought me a new toy. See how much I loved it
I’m really hoping my new family is reading this and sees how much fun life with me can be. Could it be you???

Hi! It’s me, Molly. I have to tell you about where FM and FD took me today. FM called it a Sniffspot, but I called it pure heaven! It’s a great place for dogs like me who need their “alone time” to decompress. It was a nice wooded area with a little creek, and it was all fenced in, so I couldn’t leave, and no one else could come in. It was the best hour I’ve ever had!
I was able to roam around and investigate, and I ran and played in the creek.

FM said it was a stinky ride home, but it was well worth it. My FD and I were so tired, so we took a long nap.
I really like my foster family, but I’m hoping my forever family finds me soon. If you are the type of person who loves to go for hikes and get stinky, I’m your girl! Come and check me out.

Today me, FM and FD went for a ride in the car. We went to a really nice place called House Paws and I got to see the Vet. I was so well behaved while I waited my turn and tried to figure out the noises on the other side of the door.

Molly listening for the Vet
The Vet said I am perfect! 90lbs of muscle and pure love! She said I am beautiful, smart and funny too. Everyone in the office couldn’t stop giving me compliments (and treats!) She said that I need to exercise both my brain and my body so FM is looking into working with a trainer. I am a very independent thinker and I like to be kept busy. My favorite brain games are frozen peanut butter filled Kongs, frozen blocks of ice with carrots and puzzles filled with yummy treats.
Another thing I love to do is rip apart a stuffie. FM bought me a brand new one because she said I was so good today, I deserved it.

When I all finished playing, I like to snuggle with my human. Do you like to snuggle too? I just might be the right doggie for you!

Molly continues to grow by leaps and bounds every day. Her leash skills are good, and she easily redirected when we encounter another dog on our walks. She responds really well to positive praise and reinforcement and will try her best to charm you with her bubbly personality. The more time she spends with our family, you can see more and more of her true self shines through.
Here are some of Molly’s likes:
– Molly loves snacks and treats, especially celery, carrots, pumpkin, apples, watermelon, banana, and strawberries. A Kong full of peanut butter (frozen is even better!) is high on her list of likes, too.
– She loves to go for long leisurely walks where she can take her time sniffing all the good scents along the way.
– She loves a good stuffie that she can tear apart and will still carry around the remnants, even after all the stuffing is gone.
– She loves to be outside in the yard enjoying the sunshine. She loves to play and “hop” around with her toys.
Molly and her alligator.
– She is super smart and enjoys puzzles. Another thing that she likes on hot days is when we freeze a big bowl with water and treats. It keeps her occupied for a while trying to get the carrots or berries out.
Frozen carrot treat
– She loves people, big and small but she doesn’t realize her strength so we have to be carefully with younger kids and older adults so she doesn’t knock them over with her excitement.
-Molly also enjoys a good snuggle fest on the couch with her people watching a movie, a Phillies game or even a work call with FM.
Molly snoring away while foster Mom is on a work call!
Molly’s dislikes:
– Molly’s breed is very protective of their home and people, so she isn’t happy when another dog gets in her space. She responds well to redirection and giving her the “watch me” command. She will run along the fence with the neighbor’s dog, so we are hopeful that with exposure, her reactivity will continue to lessen.
– Molly is not fond of water. She will not go in the pool and doesn’t like to go for a walk in the rain (such a Diva!)
– Speaking of rain, she is not a fan of thunder or any really loud noises. The Dyson vacuum doesn’t seem to bother her, but the Dyson hair dryer does. If there is a storm, she wants to be by your side for some gentle reassurance.
– She is also not a fan of green beans, oranges, or cucumbers.
– We aren’t too sure how she feels about cats. Sometimes she couldn’t care less, other times she’s down for a chase. Her future home could have a cat, but would need to be dog savvy.
Molly and Gladys
Could this sweet and silly girl be the one you have been looking for??
June 14, 2025
Molly has been with us for a few weeks now, and she continues to improve and grow. She loves to go for walks, and she hardly pulls, unless she sees another dog, but her reactivity is so much less, as long as the other dog is not in her space. We will cross to the other side of the street and give her the command to “watch me,” and she is easily redirected. Milly charms every human she meets. They are always amazed at how gentle and sweet she really is.
As much as she loves to walk, she really enjoys her playtime in the backyard.
She loves to lay in the sun and be on “guard duty”
She also conquered her fear and has mastered going in and out through the dog door!
Even though Molly is a “big girl”, she really thinks she’s just a lap dog.
Now Molly just waits patiently for her forever family to find her. Could it be you???
May 24, 2025.
Hi everyone!
It’s me Molly, reporting in from my new digs! That’s right, yesterday I was sprung from BCK and went to live with the Davey family. I have a FM, FD and I even have 2 human brothers!!
We had a long ride home and I was glad to get out of the car and do some exploring!
After I checked everything out, FM heard music coming from a truck and she left me in the yard. When she came back she had a treat called a pup cup.
It was yummy!
After dinner, FD took me out to go potty and then we played with a big stuffy.
I slept all night in my crate without a peep and no accidents! FM says I’m such a good girl and so smart. I already figured out how to get treats out of my puzzle.
And I met Gladys the cat. She wasn’t that nice to me. I tried to sniff her but she made weird noises and then tried to hit me with her paw and claws, so I walked away, fast! FM gave me a Kong filled with peanut butter as a reward.
I think I’m gonna like it here! Stay tuned for more updates as my foster family gets to know me better.

Molly has been practicing her good behavior on leash and has gotten very good at ignoring another dog, even when they are barking.

Molly also did fantastic job meeting another dog up close through the kennel gate. She did bark a little but it was more of a playful bark. This was a great thing to see! She also offered some play postures, and wagged her little stumpy tail!
May 12, 2025
Molly has been doing extremely well passing other dogs while on leash. I can easily redirect her using treats, to keep her from reacting to the other dog, even if the other one is barking. She can calmly sit, lay down, or walk past other dogs.
She still prefers to keep her distance from other dogs but she would be able to walk around a neighborhood if other dogs were a comfortable distance away.

Molly is still waiting for either a foster home or her forever home! Let me tell you a little bit about this adorable girl!
- She is very loving and affectionate with all the people she has met
- She does bond with her special people
- She is super intelligent and very easy to train – she loves learning new things
- She knows sit, down, stay, come and go to bed
- She loves doing obstacles – even the teeter totter!
- She’s funny when she gets a burst of zoomies!
- She loves playing with her ball and will entertain herself
- She’s good in the car
- She loves long walks and exploring all the amazing smells!
- She is getting better passing other dogs – she is easily redirected.
- She is just an all around wonderful dog!
Today, Molly got to go on a field trip to a local park. She had a wonderful time exploring. She was super well behaved girl in the car and on the walk. We didn’t see any other dogs, but met several nice people.
If you are interested in meeting Molly to foster or adopt, please reach out to info@brooklinelabrescue.org
We can set up an informal meet and greet at Bedminster Canine Kamp. Molly really needs to find her furever family! Molly says: Take me home and you’ll see I’ll be your bestest girl!

Molly and I went on a nice walk today! She really enjoyed exploring the wildlife at the pond!

April 17, 2025
Molly loves the obstacles! She’s not a great jumper, but does everything wonderfully.
Just look at how cute she is when she’s learning something new!

Sweet Molly!
Molly has been doing so well! She is starting to relax more, and has really been enjoying her playtime and training sessions. I have been able to work with her around other dogs. She does get excited when she sees them, but redirects pretty well using treats. She was barked more when she was loose in the yard and another dog walked past. I think with more practice she will improve rapidly.
We’ve also been working on some obstacles, which she loves! She’s been very brave about trying everything, even the teeter totter! Molly is so chill! 💖

Today, she was in a silly mood! After doing all of the obstacles, she entertained herself with her favorite ball.
I’m very impressed at how well behaved Molly is. She’s got a great sit, down, stay and come. She’s loves to try and learn new things. She did all of the obstacles today after only doing a few the other day for the first time.
She’s very sweet and affectionate and so funny when she gets a burst of energy/zoomies. She’s adorable and has the sweetest face.

Today, we practiced going in and out of the crate. She was absolutely fine with it.
Molly has excellent recall. It shows that her previous owners did some really good training with her in the short time that they had her in their care.
Her silly side comes out when she plays with the jumbler ball!
March 24, 2025
Molly has arrived at Kamp. She loved her first time out in the yard and had a full blown case of the zoomies!
So far, she’s been super sweet with people, very gentle taking treats, and very well behaved!
She was kind of scared the first day, but she’s doing much better very quickly.
We are still getting to know her but she is very gentle and affectionate.
She has an excellent “sit” and walks well on leash but does show some reactivity when walking by other dogs, especially big ones. Molly knows “stay” really well and is working on “down”. She is interested in learning new things, and is treat motivated which helps.
Molly loves playing with toys, and racing around the yard in bursts.

Looking for a perky, fun loving, eager to please young girl? Meet Miss Molly!
Molly was literally saved at the 11th hour from a high kill shelter by a wonderful couple who knew this girl deserved a second chance at life. Unfortunately, she is not getting along with the resident dog, so they are hoping to find her a wonderful forever home.
Miss Molly couldn’t be any cuter – or any smarter! She is a very quick study, and very food motivated, so teaching her new tricks is a breeze.
She loves everyone she meets and also loves belly rubs, butt scratches and playing ball. Her tail never stops wagging – this black beauty is such a sweetie!
Since she is very young, she would probably not do well with a full work day. However, she is crate trained, goes in easily, and would be fine for shorter periods of time.
She also does well on leash with a Gentle Leader and loves taking car rides! She is such a sweet girl!
She is dog selective, so would do best being the queen bee. But that’s fine – just more snuggle time for her!
If you are looking for a loving, adorable girl who just wants to make you happy, then Molly is your perfect match!
