Shooter Chocolate Labrador Retriever Mix Male 2.5 Years Old

Chocolate Labrador Retriever MixShooter is currently looking for a foster to adopt family through Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue to spring him from the shelter. Unfortunately the longer he is in the shelter, the higher the risk that he will be euthanized for space.

Shooter is a very handsome 2.5yo Chocolate Labrador Mix that was found stray with his 2 Chocolate Merle brothers, Larson and Happy and found themselves in the shelter. Larson is now in foster care with Brookline.

Shooter is friendly, playful curious and affectionate.  Shooter LOVES the water and readily jumps in the kiddy pool.Chocolate Labrador Retriever Mix Shooter also loves toys.  Fetching squeaky toys gives him the cutest zoomies!

Shooter does need an adopter that has experience with leash training an adult dog that is just learning to walk on a leash.  He walks well on a harness for the but does try to grab the leash but is easily redirected with treats.

Shooter came into the shelter with other dogs, so we believe Shooter would do well with other young playful dogs.  As he is a confident dog, he would also do well as an only dog.

Shooter is unknown with cats.

A fence is recommended but not required if the adopters are active and will exercise him well and can physically handle a big, strong dog on leash as he learns good leash manners.

If you can help Shooter, please contact Brookline at info@BrooklineLabRescue.org or go to https://brooklinelabrescue.org/application-for-volunteering-fostering/ for more information.
