Charlie

Charlie is a wonderful addition to our family! chocolate Labrador Retriever rope toy
When our black lab passed away last year, we knew we wanted to add another dog into our family but didn’t want to have to train a puppy. We started researching local lab rescues and found Brookline Lab Rescue. Immediately, we could tell this rescue really got to know their dogs and placed the dogs in the best match situation with adoptive families. This was important to me because I didn’t want to risk not knowing how the dog would react in certain situations. Brookline brings each dog into a foster’s home and evaluates them as they would their own dog. I fully trusted the foster to pick the best match for the adoptive families.
We applied to adopt Charlie and we felt like we knew him before he stepped foot into our home by reading the evaluation and foster documentation. Charlie’s personality has been true to what was described and he is such an obedient, loving dog! We really were blessed to adopt a dog that was still young but didn’t need house training or other typical puppy training. We rescued Charlie, but really he has been such a positive addition to our lives!
I would recommend Brookline to anyone who is looking to adopt a Labrador Retriever or lab mixed breed. They take the time to really work with each dog to make sure they are ready for adoption and place them in the best situation for the dog and the adoptive family. Brookline is a wonderful rescue to work with, and their volunteers really care to make a positive outcome for each dog. We are so thankful for Charlie!
