Meet Cledus! This little guy is part of a litter dubbed “Smokey and the Bandit” Litter by the Arkansas rescue that reached out to Brookline to help rehome them. Cledus and his 5 littermates have a black Labrador dad and a mixed breed mom. Cledus is now in a Brookline foster home. Please read his blog from the bottom up to learn more about this adorable guy!

Cledus is a fun little guy who likes to get outdoors and explore! He loves the yard and taking short walks.
He’s inquisitive with people walking too!

Cledus is coming out of his shell! He has become more active and inquisitive with exploring the house and yard.
He tried to make friends with Rosie the cat and wanted to play by barking at her but, again, she just hissed. He would run away but came back. Rosie just sat there and observed. He has a great appetite! Cledus continues to do well with potty training. No accidents in the house! He is great with fetching his balls and loves playing with the same squeaky duck toy, despite having a plethora of other toys (Lab is surely in his DNA!). He plays hard and crashes quickly! He loves a nap…or two or three during the day. 
The first night he spent on the couch with FM but last night he settled into the crate with FM on the couch next to him. He slept from 10:00 pm to 5:30 am. He has a blanket with his siblings’ scent on it which no doubt helped calm him down. He is walking well on leash for a puppy. Today was his first day with some time spent in the crate during the day since FM and FD went to work but his FS (foster sister) was in and out, so he didn’t have to stay too long alone.
